Has great race. Misspells list.

Great race gets overshadowed.

Not overshadowed jay. I remember it. I was behind you the whole time. You were flying, we were doing good. Put a gap between us and the rest if the field. Heck I couldn't gain on you till I got my car settled in around lap 6 or 7. It was a great race:tup:

Hey Guys! Tommorow Night at 8 PM EST / 7 Central, i will be holding a HST Practice In a Public Lobby as i hope to recruit some new Turtles at the same Time, I will also hold several practice races at Mazda Raceway Leguna Seca. Hope you guys can come out! If not, see you this Thursday!

I think practice for a tuning series in an open lobby is going to be tricky to keep in line. My personal opinion for HST is Quality of Racers, over Quantity of Racers. I'm not saying not to do it, but...

To find quality, it's probably best to do shuffle races. That's where people's driving skills (or lack of) really becomes apparent.

On a side note, I was practicing, and bested at 1:29.436. I could run 1:30's until lap then, then every 5 laps after that I lost 1 sec each. Did lap 25-ish on basically no tires and got 1:34 - 1:35 times.

Hello all! I've been pretty preoccupied the past few days, so I haven't taken or posted (obviously) any photos yet. But I will! I promise. Also, I've been working on the first 5 posts, updating the Drivers List, the Race Schedule (November is hashed out), and also creating a list of eligible cars for upcoming events (see post 5).

So even though I've been quiet, I've been working hard in the background!

Thanks :sly:👍

No worries Jay! You're doing an excellent work!

So tomorrow... where should we practice?

I am fine with an open lobby if Phisher is going to host it. I personally only have Thursdays set aside for gaming, that's why there isn't an official practice.

So it's really up to those of you who can make it.

Nice job jay:tup:

Next month going to be another fun one.

Nice touch making psycho honorary member. Really cool!!! Maybe soon he'll come join us. I'm sure he's willing.

Also, I just switched to manual last saturday night for the enduro race. Going to stay with it "and don't say it Busted I know you want to". How do I know what the optimal shift point is. I look at the power curve sheet but it just says 0 to 7000 rpm nothing precise. Help

You can always go by the torque/rpm on the specific car sheet. For example the suzuki capp stopped pulling at 6200 well before redline. Hope this helps!

Yeah but bottom of sheet just has 0-7000. No increments in between. I see it has a peak for torque and hp, do you just draw an imaginary line down to where the rpm's are and say uh that looks like around 6700 rpm?

Sorry for the noob question but I've never cared about this sheet before I always drove automatic.

Yes look at the peak performance line and match to RPM's. that should be when you wanna shift.

I hear you, and I totally agree with perfering quality racers. I just thought maybe we can get some new turtles to join us and race clean if they are interested as wins would say, but if its at the point where we can't practice anymore because other racers are messing us up for practice, ill let everybody know to hop over in turtle-home. Shouldn't have that big of a problem though.. come out tonight fellas!

WE NEED FRESH MEAT!!

I'll try and make it phish.

I'll be in practice tonight. I will wait for the room # if we're racing in public.

I am also willing to send PM's to new gtplanet members just like how psycho recruited me. Hopefully we can attract new racers to join in.

Anyone can send me a template to copy and paste with links to our thread? Technically challenged...

How did practice go?

Was great! Good racing by everyone! Hope to see you guys tommorow night at the enduro practice!

If not, see you guys on Thursday!

Saw you hoped in jay! Sorry about that, I was upstairs eating my ranch chicken standwhich

I finally got my film back from being developed! Things took longer in the 70's…

These cars look (and sound) awesome in the replays. This month, we are going to do the "Peoples Choice Award" a little different. Take a look at the photos above, and PM me your favorite. All racers on the drivers list get 1 vote, but you cannot vote for yourself!

Thanks and see you all tonight!
