Im torn between the IROC and Rufs. The Camaro is was an obtainable dream car growing up. But now I am loving the Rufs, with a good tune they are no longer a drift machine! I will announce mine tonight. Side note I have finally got a headset w/mic for better communication. TRL just got a little more southern lol!

^LOL, Anyone want to practice @ DF I'll be in the HST lounge for a bit

Edit: Practice was good and thanks to Latenight for joining me. The BTR performed as I thought it would... she's a beast but in the end I got the better hot lap with my trusted TT. I've been running her in various events for the past couple of months and we just fit. 👍

BTR Note: I had a much better time keeping her on the road @ DF once I bottomed out the spring rates and dampers to match I dropped the roll bars way down too with plenty of rear camber

@BustedFoSho I might be able to join in about 30 min to an hour, I'll see. Don't know if you'll still be practicing though.

Changing to 89 300zx can't i'm fighting porche to much
Those porches are a beast to tame. I only ever liked them for drifting.

A brief note about the trial starting procedure. In my Real Life High Speed Touring experiences, when we come up to the line to go, they separate us by about 5 seconds to reduce the bunching right off the get go. I'd like to try races 2/3/4 using reverse order based on previous results, and I'll call out each place in 5 second increments, for instance, when green drops 1st place go, then in 5 I'll say second go, and repeat till all are racing.

As the faster guys encounter the pack, they can pass and keep gaining positions, or hang and race with a slower guy.

Remember, coming in first does not have to be a high priority unless you make it one. You can come in any spot you like, there are no points given out in this event.

Thanks and see you all tomorrow night!

Awesome Idea Jay!! See you tommorow... Man oh man..Tommorow is my last night on GT5. 👍

I am going with the Singer "inspired" BTR. Nothing says 80's like a whale tail! (Maybe a Countach:lol:)

I want to run with either the Trueno or the Levin, and I honestly want to drive them without using a supercharger or turbo, but if I do that, I'll get stomped by EVERY car out there. I don't know what to do... Really, I'll probably just run them anyway.

I'd say run it the way you want to. You possess great driving skill, and may be able to make up for lack of power. If not, you could always add a little between each session to get it competitive.

Last time we raced here, I was running second, you caught me, passed me then I never saw you again. You were the only one phiser didnt lap.Youll be fine.

Well, at 440 PP with SS tires... Screw it, I'm running it as is. Thanks all! I MIGHT be late as well.

Awesome Video Jay, you missed some of your apex's  Thanks for Sharing! That's Really cool!

I'm definitely going to be late. I still need to finish up shoveling snow around my house; fortunately I don't have much left, so maybe I'll be there for race 2.

No worries racing! See you when you get there!

Great racing last night everybody. Congrats to bionic and gr8racrs on their wins.

Hats off to my bud busted, ran with him some last night and and he's made some great improvement. He'll be a force before long.
Can't wait till monza, love that track

Thanks Randy, and congrats to you and Derp! Last night was fun, but no so much when I was being chased down by Derp  Can't wait till Monza next week! And GT6 is here today!

Yesh, it was fun. I was catching you in race two each lap by about a half second. If it had been as long as the first race, we could've had a really nice battle. :)

Last night went really well! My Grand National gets dogged on the straights, and is a bit heavy in the corners, I have some adjusting to work on!

Got my UPS notification that GT 6 will be here today! It's going to be a long night!

Did anyone see any downside or issue with the new starting procedure. I am open to all feedback, good and bad. I think we need race 1 to set the field, so if we continue on with this style, it will be on "non race" events, for example, the upcoming beetle race with much closer matched cars will not use this start procedure.

Anyhow, photos to come soon. If anyone would like to also take photos, PM me. Given enough interest, we could break up photo duties from week to week, explore some new styles and give people a chance to show off.

Thanks!

3 more hrs till the shop opens and I bring the precious home!
All I can say is that I hope UPS runs like the post office: Rain, Sleet, Snow and Hail. I made it to work today, UPS should be able to make it to my house.

What I love is that I'm more east than the US's east coast, and could be playing for an hour before others (going to school) would be.

What's annoying is that I'm broke.

I like the start procedure jay. It reminded me of the of the rally special events. Plus something new and interesting.
