does this mean marylin monroebots and lucy liubots?

:D

I think they may have some control over products made in their likeness. It might mean Jenna Hazebots, and probably That'sHotbots (Paris), now with orange jumpsuit!!

I wonder where they got their inspiration?
I was thinking Mr. Universe from Serenity. He married a robot.

Reading this thread is hilarious and rather odd.....

The first thing that came into my head when I read the title was Futurama...:sly: The episode when Fry falls in love with a downloaded Lucy Lui!

'Google Images' - don't even go there!

And no, i've not mistaken this thread for the 'Pics of yourself' one ;)

How do you know that's for a woman? Looks to me like it might actually be for a man. Can't tell though from the front.

Just think after sex you send "it" {he or (she) for the ladies here)} off to work so "we" can play GT5 if it's out by then.

I think it's because men are more visual, and I see this as being appealing from a visual point of view. How many blow-up dolls do you see for women?

Well, how could have a man robot get an erection?

Like one of those car aerials that extends?

Maybe the nature of marriage will change by the time humans marry robots... After all, people (often) value mutual love and solid moral principles in a soulmate or partner, and as these values fade from consciousness to, "what's in it for me?" then it appears to be likely that humans will marry robots, as was mankind when the first automated device performed a task automatically. If we are already married to the idea of robots, marriage to them could be in the picture, however bizarre it is.

Still, in this age and society, it seems rather undesirable to 'conquer' a mindless device and have it as your life partner. It just does not reflect well on anybody. As well as we may develop robots, it does not compare to nature and what it brings.

A woman.

Obviously you aren't married because that is exactly what women try to do to their husbands. Trust me, as more and more flowery things pop up in my house and I ponder my car models, Yoda and Boba Fett cardboard stand ups, model airplanes, old video game systems, baseball cards, comic books, and movie posters all stored away in the attic I realize I am slowly becoming reprogrammed.

Heck, I bought a PS3 with the condition that I had to get rid of my PS2. Then when I mention a PSP I got a, "No more game systems!"

And don't get me started on how the baby or Chihuahua debate did not have a "none of the above" option.

Trust me, when you put marrying a robot in those terms I can imagine plenty of women jumping at the chance. Perhaps you should write an advertising brochure now and sell it to the companies as soon as they begin to develop these robots.

Any discussion with the word "Chihuahua" in it should have the "d. Divorce" option... ugh... I can't stand those.

But the correct answer, unfortunately for you, is "b. Baby"... ...it's a biological imperative that cannot be denied.

Human-Robot marriage... depends on how intelligent the 'bot is... I mean, they allowed the Human-Dolphin one, didn't they?

Even better, the robot could have a built in TV or a remote control so you don't even have to move once you've taken care of business.

Or you can TiVo it with the Robot. Then that would be really nasty if you actually do that...>.>

I like the idea of having some help around the house. Like a naughty French maid type bot to make dinner, to clean the house and then .... ahh.... to service the master of the house :) Kind of like the 'Stepford Wives' meets A.I. They look so real you could ....

Don't think I would go so far as to marry one, though. Why would you?

Put me down for a Jenna Hazebot. lol

One of the wierdest and mildly entertaining topics of recent time on GTP this.

Female robots, powered by.......

Microsoft.

This bot has performed an illegal operation and an arresting officer shall be dispatched. Thank you for choosing Microsoft Bot.

I'll stick to the real thing...the robots may not complain or tell you to wash the dishes but at least they'll have real emotions and so on
