Hybrid Trading Thread: READ 1st POST!

mrfabyo
anyone have hybrids with tons of hp on them to trade??? i want 1 s2000 but i cant make it...

Looks like everyone's busy right now. That may be cool, though.

I have a Stanced Civic for borrow glitching online this week... I will put on another car every week.. I hope this is ok and not against the rules ;)

a s2000 '06.. with 14k+ bhp... :)

Just FYI, I've driven a friend of mines 32k hp Nissain GTR, and it's really not very fun to drive. Now on the other hand, I've driven some of the better setup hybrids in here by RS200freak, and with around 1,500-2,200 hp (which feels insanely fast, BTW) and they were a total blast to drive! You can still lap a track without banging into every single wall like Wile E Coyote.
If I were you, I'd head over to the Hybrid Showcase Thread, ask some of the guys posting over there if you can send them a FR, and try some of their hybrids. (They always have several on share for poor chaps like us)

Oh and when you are driving a hybrid, please don't be an @$$, unless it's a hybrid specific room, take a second to ask if it's ok if you bring out you custom ride, and tell them roughly what's been done to it. I find in most cases, if it's a realistic hybrid, they're usually very welcoming. J.GancherJR made me a Hemi Prowler, and everyone raves over how cool it is, Because I'm still at a level where they can grab they're lambo or Ferrari and we can race/cruise.

Sorry for being so long winded, but the hybrid community needs all the responsible members and good publicity it can get. Now that I can make my own (finally!) I always try to keep a few I can give away to people in lobbies that are interested in the good side of hybrids. I've won dozens of "converts" and at least changes the minds of many from, Hating hackers to being at least open minded about it.

Together we can turn the tide of hate! :gtpflag:

Totally unrealistic...

Totally unrealistic...

Ok I'm open to constructive criticism, what part are you referring to?

If it's the 1,500 to 2,000hp cars, yes they are on the outer realm of possibility for a drivable internal combustion engine, but they do exist. I choose to drive cars with 1000hp or less myself as that's about the maximum you'll see driving down the street. (Even that's extremely rare, Twin turbo big blocks and Bugatti territory)

But compared to 14k hp it's very much more real, even Top Fuel Dragsters can only make 10k hp (for about 4 seconds)

My general rule for "realistic" is that you should be able to find a youtube video of it in action.

If your referring to the "we can turn the tide of hate" comment, your right, I was getting a little to into it! Lol

Must have missed the Saleen S7 TT, Boost Logic Supra and AMS Alpha Omega, they are over 1000HP at the wheels, the S7 even has 2200+AWHP  And they are all real, driven by their owner on the street.

Ridox2JZGTE, if you are online, would you mind putting those cars you wanted me to try. I am going to get them in five minutes.

Finally got the new power supply in.

Can I borrow glitch a Red bull with negative PP and a few other cars please! (It doesn't matter what the other cars are)

My PSN:MJTbreww

Team THRT Drift
Really? I was playing 3 hours ago.... no update. Are you a + member by any chance?

Restart your system.
Having PS Plus doesn't affect the system updates.

No. What I just said is that a 32k HP hybrid obviously looks unreal, like your friend's GTR. And yes, driving 1-2K HP cars are more realistic compared to it and a 14k HP. No offense. Just forget what I have said.

I love the look of the Mazda RX-7 (LM, TC, '90s models), but I'm not crazy about the way they drive. I know very little about hybriding, so I'm just wondering if it's even possible to make... let's say my RX-7 TC retain its look, but have it behave like a Mercedes Sauber.

NOTE: I am not asking HOW to do this, just wondering if it CAN be done theoretically.

Can someone make me a Plymouth Cuda with Hemi-Orange paint? Thats all i want. No horsepower change at all just a normal car with this paint please.

I have on share right now a '69 Bellet with a 20B and I forgot which chassis (cut me a break I was half awake when making it), but man is it a blast to drift. Will be putting up in a minute my 4wd SHO and that thing is a scream, couldn't believe how well that came out. Finally @gt4viper thank you for the compliment, I try to keep the max HP to 2200HP because I know how hard in real life it is to make a car produce those numbers. I remember fondly my 1109hp 240SX, yes you read that right over 1100HP on the floor. Many months and stealing ideas and parts from friends got me those numbers. If I can find the ticket from when they threw me off the lanes i'll give the exact numbers but I think they were somewhere around 9.8 sec 1/4 mile. If you're wondering, I got thrown out because my car didnt have a chute.

EDIT: Just had an epiphany and made a 2CV. For those lucky enough to have my rs200freak PSN friended, it is on share. It is simply an engine swap and made RWD. The LSD though still makes the inside tire smoke but hey, I just made it. I put in the Spoon Integra engine and gave it a racing exhaust but made it around the high speed ring in 1:17 easy. Way better when RWD and given almost 240HP.

Has anyone ever swapped a small engine in a go-kart and added a new tranny? What tranny/engine would you recommend?

Yes, several times. I can't say they work all the time but when you get it right it is fun. I would stick to a low torque engine, may a Honda or a 13b. As for tranny go with something that has 5 gears, or put the 7-speed Swift tranny.
