So for the lurkers around:
Okay, I was at Audi Germany today.
They basiclly told me what I knew. Every money spend on that bodyshell will be lost.

Was looking for another S3 8l. Found some nice ones, but then drifted off looking at S3 8P, then TTS and now I am at TTRS. I should definitefly stop. My saving account will commit suicide

Now I am considering abondonning the Volvo as I still haven't spend a buck on it and the cost to get it nice and running would excel it's value. It only has a sentimental value for me as my beloved Dad gifted it to me.

With that budget, ohhh the things I could buy.

Too many options at hand, it gives me headaches.

Only 2 things are certain, the GTR will not be sold, and the S3 neither as it current value is beneath the money I spend on the drivetrain alone.
And apart from the shaby paintjob it still runs like hell.

EDIT:
I will sleep over this, so I might change opinions again (as I do that quite often) but I think the Volvo project is done. Way too much money for value, that I could use right now as I need a new Daily.
When I redo myself the bodyshell of the S3 that will take a lot of time, and will need to get partly stripped, so no need to keep it registered and on the road.
The GTR, when it arrives was always destined in being a fun car for summer days, and not a daily.

Thus looking what to buy in the next days, how much I want to spend, now new the car needs to be,...

1st world problems, right

So as to put the update here as the other thread will dive into depths of the pages in some time:

Audi S3 :
Will sand the whole car myself, repaint it with a matte 2K colour, maybe a plastidip finish. Will see how it goes as I advance, worse than it looks now is impossible

Skyline GTR33:
Emission papers from German TUV, seem to be on the way from Germany to the Belgian importer. If they are all correct, homologation can be passed this time without problems.
So finish line is near. :D

Volvo Amazon:
After putting it to pieces, I will get rid of it, as the budget that would have gone into the rebuilt goes into the next car. Need to find someone interested in it now. Don't plan to get a whole lot for it.

Audi TTRS:
Test drive in 10-ish days. Then making the papers ready. Should all go fairly quick.

As you see I really seem to be a sucker for 4*4 cars

Also owning 3 awesome engines is a really nice feeling.
I4 1.8T 265ps-375NM with permanent 50-50 4*4
I5 2.5T 340ps-450NM with modifiable 40-60 4*4
I6 2.6T 420ps-???Nm with variable 0-100 4*4
Finally happy again after 4 years of automobile nightmares

Okay this goes better than I though, and I even haven't started yet

Registered in a german Painter forum. Got lots of good tips.

One guy has spare parts of an S3 which if the price is right  saves me some headaches of sanding, like the inner part of the doors and hood. And the guy lives right next to the border, what are the chances!

Also I got a work mate, who worked as painter for 15 years in Portugal. He will paint my car for a friends price. Nice 👍

So I only got the sanding to do. I "feared" attacking the painting myself as I don't have any experience in painting a whole car. Who has (painted a whole car)? So it seems all comes nicely along. Finally

The garage rang me today for the TTRS, but missed the call, when I saw it it was nearly 6 and they close at 5, so didn't bother. Will phone tomorrow.

EDIT : I already thought the phone call was to tell me that the TT was gone. Luckely it was to send me high res pics of the car :D .

Also no comments, guys come on!

Oh, you suck, dude.

^Lol, sorry, if you come get it I give you a GTP discount

Motortrend: will do, have a proper stereo mic too (rode), so it should be a lot better than all the in camera mic exaust vids on youtube, although they sound sweet.

The guys price for the S3 parts were too high, asked 450 for the doors alone. I would have paid 200 for doors and hood
I know I know, I also have a bodykit lying in my garage and don't want to give it out for 50€ a piece, though that's the only price someone would take them .... so I continue hording car parts

Got a call this morning, set the meeting to thursday, as my dad comes with me, so we can play good customer bad customer (me being the bady) to get the maximum discount.

Then taking papers to the bank. One- two weeks later, woop woop, it should be ready. I can't get it soon enough here, having watched utub up and down... I want it!!

Hate photobucket for resizing pics

I am woop woop happy

Really nice ride mate 👍 One question, does the new Audi TT still has the Haldex quattro?

5 cylinders, turbocharged and quattro, how much more pure Audi can you get?
You bought it in Bitburg? Did you take some beer home?:sly:

Thanks mate.
Yes Haldex, all traversal engines get haldex due to place issues.

The sound is soooo sweet. I had a huge grin on my face that I couldn't shove away :D

30km north of bitburg and no Beer thou I should have asked "bitte ein Bit"

That is a beautiful car! AND you have a GT-R on the way...! Wanna play swaps for a week lol?

Thanks, oh I will play swap between the 2 cars during summer ;)

Your invoice for a new pair of underwear that you ruined is on your way, Ibonibo.

 Thanks, sent a package of it, probably will need more than 1 new pair

Seeeeet 👍 you're going to have Two really cool cars

Thanks, well 2 and a half, the S3 is from a mechanical point really nice and hopefully I will be able to apply a half way decent paintjob on it. But after test driving the TTRS, I hope I will get the time to do it

The car also has fewer km than advertised, not 4200, but 4050 :D
It was a dealer car, but only the boss drove it, and he is not a road rage guy, no customer drove the car 👍
Got a good price on it, but well no major discount.
But will try to get a good deal now on winter tyres and rims.

looking for winter tyres:
asked at the audi dealer and a audi rim seller for RS4 and RS6 rims.

Got the price from Audi Germany: well they are not cheap  RS6 beeing a bit cheaper and like them better as the RS4 are the same design as my summer rims.

Waiting to see the second offer.

But I think I will go with RS6 9*19 ET52 with Conti tyres on it.

This one:

Beautiful car you've got there. Congratulations! I hope the paint stays on this one for you

Also, looking back, I can't believe it's been almost a year since you bought the Skyline and still don't have it. Hope that gets resolved soon.

Thanks, yeah I will keep it this time in the original state, no wrap, no custom paint. Learned it the hard way :(

Yeah, the delay on the Gtr is not cool, but it takes 8 months normally, plus the 3-4 month I took to choose the upgrade and installing them, and then my Road Safty Insitution which are morons doesn't help.
Well, at least it seems as it is in the last stretch...
For now, I don't care, I can't use it anyway as it is a summer car for me and it is pretty white outside now.

Okay update on the winter tyres:

Rs6 and Rs4 don't seem to fit cause the brake caliber is too big (on a 9*19 et 52 )

Now, from my Audi dealer I can get the 9*18 5 spoke, and from a Audi rim dealer I get for the same price 9*19 Rotor rims...

So hard, the 19 are original OEM Audi Rims, and well a whole grand less than direcly from Audi. He has only positive reviews on ebay too.

Probably will go for the 19's

Okay:

So if I think the TTRS will not be bought!!

I will instead buy a brand new TTRS
Thing is, the price of the OEM winter tyres + aftermarket alarm +car price = a few grand difference of a new one, with no milage, 3 years warrenty + bucket seats. I am tempted by the exclusive leather, but I just can't justify the heavily increase of that for just a few layers of white instead of the stock...

I will thinker about this tonight (this will probably keep me up all night).
Will update when I have found my ideal config.

What paint to you think is best: I am between the blue, grey (as the one on the other page) and black. Suzuka grey seems nice but is very close to the plain white which is free, so I don't see the point

Colour I now chose (probably will stay with that choice):

PantherBlack
Oktoberfest15.jpg

EDIT: YEAHAHH

So as above, that's my setup only added a rain/light sensor in order to have coming home fonction.

The offer makes the used one look overpriced.

So yeah, TTRS will take some time. But I finally bought my first brand new car. Can't wait !!!

And here a pic of the seats (modified Recaro SporsterCS)

Those seats are gorgeous, they don't look comfortable Because Of the sharp angles but recaro knows What to do, it's probably Very comfortable and has nice support. I like this color more than the other one 👍

Thanks mates.

The seat are quite confortable for half buckets, but it ain't a cruiser car, so they fit nicely 👍

The colour is stunning can't wait to see it on the car IRL. Black with purple and brown in it and a lot of flakes 👍

Car is confirmed for delivery in May :D

Added
Audi music interface
park distance
elec. foldable mirrors
Tinted windows

3 months... ohh my

The wait is horrible, but you can keep sane by maybe tracking the car and watching endless videos of it. I don't know if that car has a break in period but that is even worse than the waiting considering you finally have it and wanna give it the beans.

Already watched every vid on utub or vimeo  multiple times

2-3 months is kind of extraordinary quick for Audi. Most of the time it is around 6-8 months wait. So kind of lucky, but waiting still sucks :D

Break in, gonna do it anyway, think Audi recommands it, but it isn't mandatory. But not sure. First 1500km I'm gonna break it in. Oil change after the 1500. Then I should be good. Trying to spool the 1500 down as quickly as I can... a car like that you want to

I own already all 3 of them. But right now only the S3 is in my driveway.
The TTRS will be built in the coming weeks
The GTR is in the hellish circle of homologation.
By Summer all 3 will be in my driveway :D
