I own already all 3 of them. But right now only the S3 is in my driveway.
The TTRS will be built in the coming weeks
The GTR is in the hellish circle of homologation.
By Summer all 3 will be in my driveway

He managed to get the car built sooner. A whole lot.

From mid may to built for Week 13 👍 that's in 31 days ... Incredible 👍

So I've been a bit absent from the site here due to an illness, but wanted to give an update:

TTRS : 2 weeks till it's built...

GTR : Papers are there, now it needs to get across Belgium for the registration. So hoping that it passes now. A few weeks time and it should be road legal and registered.

My TT was built last week and is now in transit to the dealer. End this week, beginning next week it arrives there.Homologation should take max. 2 days if they hurry.

So today in a week, I have my baby R8 👍
Plus my illness is healing slowly, so I can actually drive my car and take delivery of it. A week ago I wasn't so sure I could. Couldn't walk or use my hands... (Skin disease on palms and soles, arrived in December, incurable for conventional medecine)

Thanks, it starts to heal and for alternative medicine it's not uncurable, so ... fingers crossed.

And yeah I count the hours .... Oh well weekend wil go past quick enough, Mond- Wen. will be in slowmo

So, no photos yet. Haven't taken delivery yet. Wasn't in the state. Have gone through the most painful week yet (hopefully the last).

I asked the dealer to postpone the delivery a bit as i would really want to take it personally for the first drive. But maybe my bro needs to go with me to take it if I still can' next week.

Reminds me Of when my dad took delivery Of the e92. The car took like a month more than it should, with us tracking it like crazy. Finally when it arrived it was kind of late and my dad was working but he didn't want them to take it to him, preferred picking it up himself. We were a bit worried that the dealer might use it for a test drive or something but as far as we know that did not happen, car had low delivery miles and everything went well, so best of luck and no worries, it is all worth it 👍

Yeah the garage had no problem with waiting.

So I started to take the chemical hammer yesterday (cortisone). Today no more pain. It's healing. In 2 days I will be able again to walk and use my hands. I have gone through hell the last 6-8 weeks. excruciating pain with open soles and palms. Enough is enough.

So next week I will go fetch my RS myself. Get ready for tons of pics.

So my dealer sent me some pics. Also after all the bad garages, this one seems to be an amazing one. The owner of the garage knows I'm sick, so he got me some adresses of very good doctors in Germany 👍 Awesome guy 👍

So there was a bit of fuzz (papers got change from company to private), but today I took delivery of the car at 1700.

And wow, can't stop driving it. The tank is now empty (wasn't full), thought that was a good time to stop. 340km on the counter now.

The sound of the engine ... mind blown

Can't wait till the break-in is done.

Will update with pics later... haven't shot a lot as driving was more important

It got worse again... but couldn't wait, put some gloves on and the pure joy dissipated any pain

Wanted to make a vid today, but was more motivated to just drive

Engine is boken in to 2/5 (total of 1200km)

Then a soundfile will follow.
I only go to 4000 rpm but the engine starts yelling at 3000, it's a joy!
I copied for an hour music over to an sd card, never listened to it

More pics in the next days, my battery died on me before taking 1 shot

still beiing broken in... goes to max 4k rpm and 50 % gaspedal



edit : got a break in over the night, rs is fine thankfully

At least you got some decent torque up to 4K, with the M3 it was a pain the first 2K miles, things start getting good at 5K and the break in limit was 5500. Nice roads as well 👍 I need to look for some wider country roads here to open up the M5 a bit

yeah it got max torque from 1600-5500 rpm (if I remember correctly) and after that the 340 ponies come in till the end of the rev counter.
Still not decided how far I will take the break in, 1200, 1500, 2000km?

Yeah we got some hillarious nice country roads, best is in 80%, the surface is nearly perfect. When taking the nice backroads in Germany, it's nerv-wrecking the state of the blacktop
