Official season start 28th of January 9pm UTC

We will start the season as planned, we will use a open lobby room, with fixed ownership and mic's disabled and hope it works. Some say the bug is still here and it is. It have been around since long before our season 2 started. It seems to have getting worse, but we will try our best to make it work.

I noticed in our Kart Cup that Falcons bandwidth can't even handle a 5 player none fixed lobby before his movement start looks like something else than driving. I really hope Falcon will try his best to ensure his connection is stable as racing along side him is pretty much impossible. And as we use a fixed room ownership without mics you should be fine. But for us, would you consider putting you PS3 on a wire and not wireless?

We go back to Fuji for our race and start the season, as I can't remember the grid position from qualify I hope everyone is ok with doing the qualify over again.
After qualify everyone meet up in the lobby, were you have the possibility to change tyres. If your not going to change tyres please leave the track to ensure we start our grid by fastest lap and not something else.
I know this is speculations, but I know a few championship who have had better results doing this instead of starting from track. Your fastest lap is remembered by the game so no worries.

I know the calender isn't up to date, but if this race doesn't work we have to find another solution to the problem. And the calender will be updated as soon as we get started. The Next Race in the top of the OP will always be the thing to follow so please keep an eye on that if your in doubt.

I wish everyone good luck, to the race and to avoid the lag bug.

I will try providing I know what to do, I had NAT Type 2 until that particular night before I had to change it. I do think my internet is having a Mardi moment this month and I'm not too sure why...

I agree with maxi and Persian. we should try the full grid 1st and see what happens? If there are lag issues, then we should split the pack in to 2 div's with the fast guys in div 1 and the slow guys in div 2. And not to bring up F1 again but div 2 could run like the GP2 series, with the champion graduating and getting promoted to the div 1 series. Would do you guys think?

i do think your idea is nice i had it in mind too, with the last team of div 1 falling back into div 2 & the best team of div 2 taking a spot in div but lets see how it will go on fuji imo

i am not really into divisions... and how do you pick the good & bad drivers.

Based on results of season 1? Based one season 2? Pre-season? new guys?

and what about racetime?

A time trial would be most obvious with the top half into division 1. We could also re-open sign ups and expand the league a bit. In theory we would have two separate rooms open and keep race times the same. This is just an idea; we are not set on this plan so no complaining.

i think in order to have a good league next season.. we should mix up the teams.. rather than having 2 top drivers in the same team we should use 1 driver who's mostprabably going to be in div 1 and 1 driver from div 2 and team them up. have the teams set an overall track time and compare all teams lap times, the 1st 8 go div 1 and 2nd 8 div 2.. i actually think this isn't really bad.. but its all depending on the 1st race on fuji this season i think..

All the ideas are sounding great , let's see what Erik has In mind , I'm sure he has been thinking about it .

Well except the obvious two guys who always seem to be on top I see ourself as pretty much even. Some of the new guys have a few things to learn and will probably get their pace up within this season. One season ago both ProPersian and anastasis got lapped by several people on Suzuka, but have worked their way up mid pack or even fight for the top spots. Same thing happened to me as I pretty much was dead last together with Maxitsu. Both of us have worked our way up the ladder. Splitting this up by skill could ruining the high level we must be at to have a fighting chance.

So yes I think splitting us up could be the only solution if this game refuse us to be more than 10-11 players in the room.

I've talked to Skengdigi about inviting some of the guys he raced with in the Midnight Club GT500 championship. If we get in 4 more people we could have two groups with 9 people.

Splitting us up in two similar strong groups with one team member in each group. This way we can keep our teams and both groups will be strong and we have to be on our best to stand a fighting chance. Also keep both groups interesting.
So instead of division 1 and 2 we have division 1 and 1 or group A and B. And the learning curve for everyone racing will stay the same.

We will have to seed our drivers by numbers and when adding those number into the groups we should have two groups with the same result. Like in a world cup of football, we don't see Italy, Brazil, Germany, Spain and Argentina in the same group.

When also adding that two team members will not be in the same group it will mean that we will only have one of each car in both group instead of having one group of GT-R's and one grope of NSX or Lexus. Will make the field look more interesting in my opinion.

This is just a example and should not be considered as I judge anyone but to give you a example of what I mean.

Group1
Falcon
Skegndigi
zzxxz
Arkano
Netherdragon
Maxitsu
JoeTruckV8

Group2
IMORTALPILOT
Anastasis
Troylee
ProPersian
Grayfox
ErikAndre71
Elysiriar

I haven't really seeded anyone except IMMORTALPILOT and Falcon who obviously have proved they have a better chance of the podium than most of the rest of us.
Team will collect points from each group so if IMMORTALPILOT wins Group2 and Netherdragon wins group 1 team Yellowhat will collect 80 points.

If we get in 4 more drivers we have two more to each group and it will start looking interesting.

But for now we go for the entire group into one room and I hope it will work and it would be the best solution.

I have no problems with splitting it up by divisions either, but doing so by time trial could make division 1 collect the hot lap wonders and ruin the chance for the more consistent drivers.
This again could mean a very consistent guy get into div2 and could go through it with no real challenge. Could again mean someone lose interest and drop out.

Erik I think you have pretty much said it all .

I've contacted the MRC drivers and I haven't got a reply yet , I will contact them again today and get back to you Erik

Either way we are racing this saturday and that's positive

When we split the group whit 8 or 9 drivers and some drivers can't make it we gonna do races whit only 6 drivers or so. its not that much. I am afraid for this scenario.

maybe in cases like that we merge the room , who knows maybe people wont show up this saturday and we wont need to split .

or it might just work :)

Well I'm not really afraid of this scenario, if it proves to be impossible to race 14 racers at the same time this scenario end's up with a red flag and we could spend our time do something completely different. What I'm trying to say I rather race against 5 than not race at all. We all know it's not perfect, but the perfect would be proven this Saturday. (if enough people sign up 👍 )

I made a new account on PSN called ICGTC, add this and we could practice in this room. Room settings are set up and ready to be set up for free runs.

I'm not going to use this account, so it will stay at level a spec-0 b-spec 0 so I guess it will be easy to locate in you list.. all the way at the bottom ;)

This account is dedicated to this league so it will not accept friend requests from anyone outside this championship so we will not have anyone joining in if we practice.

So please go ahead and send this account a friend request. I will accept once pr day so if it take a while before I accept your friend request it's because I already did it that day ;)

Hope everyone can send this friend request before Saturday so I can focus on my practice that day ;)

Well I did it out of two things really

First of all, everyone here are allowed to join this room, set it up for a GT500 practice, then everyone can join and know what they will join. Want to practice something else than GT500, use your own lounge.
I know everyone have been able to join my lobby when they see I'm online and usually you guys know what you will see when entering the track. Me going in my MOTUL around next weekends track. But when _I_ look around to join lounges I stumbled across people practicing for something else. Then I feel I disturb them in their practice.

Also Adam mention something a while back that he saw 3 lounges with 1-3 guys in each lounge. That's kinda anti social if you ask me. So anyone here want to do GT500 practice, use ICGTC and you might get company ;)

After all friend requests are accepted ICGTC wont be much online so he will not help set the room up, but if in doubt on how the room should be set, it's all in the OP of this thread.
Remember ABS is still allowed Maxitsu ;)
