One man team FTW!:D

I just stumbled across this one, I think it's worth a look, even if it's for iRacing and not GT5 it also fits us perfectly. It gives some nice tips on how to take the first corner. 👍

Your early mate

I don't get home for another 3 hrs , see you around then

Let me know when you guys are practicing later

OK, I really understand, rFactor2 looks really nice and it seem to be a great sim. To bad I can't afford a PC strong enough to run it smooth with high details at the moment. I might have the money for it later, but for now I guess I stick with GT5
Good luck with it, and of course you are welcome to be a reserve for us some time. Take care mate.

I will be on around 9

I'm trying a swift league that doesn't alow tuning at 8 tonight

Immortal sad to see you go but happy too

Nice video. In the past i ended up in contact, off road or crashed at the starts. probably becaus i was a noob in season 1.

In season 2 i did understand i had to calm down. Still, frequently i made mistakes because i underestimated slipstream effects together whit cold tyres on the start. So for me its importent to participate in some of the small practise races we do before the qualy. To find my "braking point(s)" at the start and see how far i can go. Its good to try this if you are bad at starts :)

That's why I always do those short races just to get the braking points right .

We been practicing so long at fuji I feel like a seasoned veteran there

Well this is going to be interesting ;)

I've just added those who didn't bother to add ICGTC to their psn friend list as I'm not going to sit in front of this PS3 tomorrow.

See you guys on track tomorrow, going on pretty early as I all of a sudden seemed to have found some time I need to practice the new lines a bit ;)

EDIT:
Forgot I have to go out to buy some more parts for my exhaust system for my real car, I bought a complete stainless steel system, hope it will last for a bit longer than my last one. But a lot of mounting parts did not follow the set so I have to go out and buy it. As I might be changing it on Sunday ;)

So I might not be on that early tomorrow..

If my tyre wear is anything like it was today, next week, then I'm dropping out immediately.

I can't have fun with tyre wear this bad. I should have finished top 5 today, sure my mistake was 100% my fault but I was completely held back from catching anyone because my tyres literally dropped off a cliff after five laps. Sorry, but that's just not enjoyable.

Doesn't help that I was being tapped/knocked by everyone and their mother before I went off too.

I dont know whether it was some weird slipstreaming or me just over driving the car but whenever I was behind someone the thing just wouldn't turn. I always knew a podium was a bit much but after the start I had it would have been nice to keep up with falcon and pro. Did anyone else think that was an unusually boring race for fuji?

i'm soo frustrated, my **** dfgt costed me the race, i was getting closer to falcon in the end but it wasn't enough.. he ran a good last lap without mistakes props, well deserved man,..

i don't like to hear that. to be honest i had the same problem :indiff: tyre wear is the same for everyone.

The downforce is created by air pushing the car down, when your in slipstream there isn't that much air to push the car down. The car can go faster, but it also cant turn that good. After the new slipstream was released this have been more noticeable.

I really feel for you, things like that just sucks.

I lost some places the first laps. i had to adapt from softs to mediums. I always need some time to adapt when i change tyres. Thats not good for me.
I had to come in earlier then expected. Which means Erik & i became on the same strategy. It was a pain, i was faster on new tyres, Erik on old. I don't want to be in this situation again were you become close with your teamate. At the end i changed a little my pitstops to avoid erik and at my last stint i used mediums instead of softs becaus i was not sure they lasted long enough, i also thought i had nothing to gain anymore. I was playing safe.

quite happy whit the result, I was not sure i would make it to the end, i didn't know i had enough fuel. Lucky for me.

Yes pro quite unfortunate , I notice some ppl didn't even use the soft tire .

Was a good race I made a wrong call with my strategy and that possibly cost me some time , looking forward to the next race .

The tire wear takes getting used to , it definetely takes some practice , you have to adjust your driving style

Zz had such a awesome start from 6th to 3rd

At least I got to lead the race a few laps , lol

Its great to have a lag free race

Well I have to mention it. No lag observed? For me it was super smooth, much more smooth than our last try with 11 people with voice.

Season is in other words started, I will update the OP when replay is watched. I didn't notice anything worth a penalty. People raced really clean when I was around :) I will of course watch the replay a few times from different angles and see if I see something. But if you have anything you want me to look at please PM me, it's hard to get every angle and something that shouldn't be overseen could be just that.

Looking forward to Monza now and be aware, it could rain in Italy next week!

If you guys want voice I could rent a Teamspeak server for us to use, it will demand you to connect your ear plug into a PC, Android phone or iPhone to be able to connect. Obviously the PS3 can't handle voice and GT5, but now that we know we will at least race smooth 👍
