some of the new guys didn't look smooth on my screen. they shake constantly, difficult to know they lose the car or not. But apart from that everything is smooth. YES WE CAN RACE :gtpflag:.

i think it was fun racing here, but i was a little bored whit track. Nice to do something else next week.

I guess the voice isn't GT5's best friend.

I am not mad its off. Some people start to tell there live story in the middle of the race. its sometimes distracting for me.

on the other hand its easier to know what is happening when we need to restart or go to track.

I have to agree, I was a lot more focused on the race today, I like have it on in our practice lounge, but I think it was nice to focus on the race today and not listening or chatting myself ;)

After a few races and everyone get how we do things we should be able to do things more smoothly.

When I set the total weight to 1130 everyone in a GT-R joins, when I add 512bhp or 520hp everyone in a Lexus joins the room. When I then set 1100kg everyone in a NSX joins the track.
Next race I will have to add a few steps and it will most likely be more and more advanced.
Next time we have 2 GT-R settings one for most of us and one for Skengdigi, two Lexus settings, one for the each driver as ProPersian also got success ballast and one NSX have to weigh 1160kg.

But I do hope this will become something people understand how to be done, I have to say it was smooth today, no hassle at all. But as it gets more and more people with ballast I do hope we stay calm and just have our car ready and this will be done in no time.

Restart of races must be done by text now, to bad really, but I think it's worth it. Only reason to restart is if the grid is totally wrong or we get the lag hell back.
If someone have a terrible start and get pushed wide, there is no reason for a restart, we will have to look into it later. Restarting the race because of someone and not because of someone else's bad luck in the start wont be fair.
And been looking at the replay of the race today, first corner was almost problem free, there was some bumping, but as a simracer to another I think the first corner was really good. The chicane is another story.

There are a few things under investigation and it will be looked into during the night and tomorrow. So far I only found something that deserve a warning.

From now on do we qualify on the tire we want to start on Erik ?

I think that would be the wisest decision .

i actually think the idea of teamspeak is really good. we then have a lag free race, and everyone who can speak.. wich makes it more fun

No Maxi at Fuji most of us if not all qualified on soft then started on medium .

Since we now know that we can't exit back to lobby then start we will have to qualify on whatever tire we decide to start on .

I think this is better anyways and will make strategy choices more interesting .

I notice Falcon didn't use the soft tire at all last night ( I think )

I got my strategy so wrong , the way I was racing was as if it was a 40 lap race and not 38 , I could have pitted 1 lap earlier each stint instead I went 1 more lap , it costed me in the end , I possibly could have had 2nd .

But Pro and Falcon were faster than me so I should be happy with 3rd .

u did great skengdigi.. anyway after fuji, i'm glad we go to monza now.. at least something different... i think I'm just going to do some laps now.. to see how i have to adjust the tune..

Had to go in to work today but I will be on later , hope we can get a small practice session at monza today

I hope we can meet up a few guys during the week and test it. There was one guy going down the pit lane after I press start race and before the race started. This could have messed up the grid.

We really need the opportunity to change tyres. What if we qualify on dry and when we are about to start race there is heavy rain and 70% or more standing water. That first lap on slicks will just not be good.

I'm not making a hasty decision on this one so I hope some guys are online during the week would help me test it. We need 3-5 to make a proper test out of it.

Your right Erik , I wasn't thinking about cases when we have weather change races .

We will test in in the week then and take it from there .

1 more hour at work , I want to go home and watch the replay to see the battle between Maxi and Erik .

I wish Pro didn't have that mistake , the race would have been so different . With Pro and Falcon racing each other they were slowing each other down and I would of got into the mix .

Pro is actually the heaviest car going into Monza

Yea your right, the nsx is going to have major advantages since there are long straights.. i need to adjust my tune so i can have a chances to keep up in the straights..

btw i see i have the fastest lap on fuji, anyone knows what that is??

Yeh I would like to run lower downforce but with the possibility of rain you might want to keep that rear downforce , will be a tough decision how to setup the car .

I'm hoping to be a little faster at Monza than I was at Fuji

Race results posted, no penalties given because the circumstances wouldnt have made a different.

But Warnings goes to

Elysiriar for divebombing both GrayFox32 and JoeTruckV8. Lap 2 and 6 This was ugly and should have gained you a penalty. But as you finished last and have no time to take away you gets off with a warning. But if this continue we will have to remove you from our championship because we want clean drivers not ruining the race for people already part of this championship.

GrayFox31 get's a warning for the diving into the chicane in the end of sector 2 first lap. You waited for traffic, but this could have been avoided and was a avoidable incident. We had 38 laps to do it in, no need to do hasty over takes like this.

JoeTruckV8
Ignoring blue flag and holding up ErikAndre71 for 6 laps, you are free to unlap yourself, but then you should be able to have a higher pace. You manage to unlap because of slipstream and held up ErikAndre71 for 6 laps. Should have been a pretty big penalty as real life racing it's a drive through for each time. You get off with a warning, but please consider what lap your in, compared to the guys you are racing.

Warning for cutting pit entry

JoeTruck: lap 9, cutting pit entry. warning.
JoeTruck: lap 19, cutting pit entry. warning.
JoeTruck: lap 29, cutting pit entry. warning.
Propersian: lap 9, cutting pit entry. warning.
Propersian: lap 21, cutting pit entry. warning.
Propersian: lap 31, cutting pit entry. warning.
Arkano: lap 28, cutting pit entry. warning.
Grayfox: lap 29, cutting pit entry. warning.
Grayfox: lap 20, cutting pit entry. warning.
Elysiriar: lap 29, cutting pit entry. warning.
Elysiriar: lap 29, cutting pit entry. warning.

Now let's move on to Monza (glad we are finally done with Fuji)

Pro not sure what your fastest lap time was but Falcon didn't use the soft tire so you took home those bonus points easily .

My best lap was a 34 4 , quite slow

i think falcon did a great job in not being seduced to use the softs, he was losing some time on the end of 4,5 laps on medium if he' d chose to use softs he' d had a hard time to keep it under control since its rwd.. really good decision nice!..

i totally forgot the cutting part in pit entry sorry about that..

Erik I see, I got dive bombed too but not sure who. If you do see me as a dirty driver feel free to remove me from this championship. Thanks

I don't see you as a dirty driver and you just been warned, you have a chance to improve on Monza to prove yourself
Everyone new to this will misjudge the slipstream effect, but most of us learn from our mistakes. 👍

I see, no worries , looking forward to the next race . :)

Best thing to do for the less experienced drivers is to join one of our many practice sessions in the week.

We do a lot of short sprint races which help with braking points and getting used to draft .

I was surprised to see so many people complaining and just realizing that the downforce is different when in someone's draft , I guess they were feeling it around that double right hander in sector 2 .

Erik did a great thing creating the ICGTC practice lounge by the way

I had't drive the whole week, i had more problems then i got few weeks back.

+ there is something wrong whit my wheel. Its a bit off center i have to steer a little left to go straight forward. FFB is less strong and right/left steering feels diffrent at times. it feels "light" instead "heavy". Its still driveable but i miss that extra edge of the car-data. And on the end i am constantly looking if the wheel is working. its starting to get obsession.

You qualified real well though Maxi , good job

thx, you raced well :)

the guys on the podium i expected to be there. so 4th was the highest possible today. so i am really happy whit the result. maximum points whitout ballast is very nice.

Monza will be cool. If its gonna rain there will be alot of drivers gonna complain about there own mistake. mark my words. I could be in that group, i have no experience in the rain.

Did you upgrade the firmware in your wheel? v38 is the latest.
