Erik just have a vote this week to determine if we should change the points system .

If it would keep the title race closer then I do vote for it , if it wouldn't really change things then just leave it.

We do want to keep it close so if Maxis suggestion would help that , then once again I vote for it.

Read the rules.. when having ballast you will get half on and half off depending on where you place. Was like that all last season also.

I started using the new system, I'm for a change. The old system had a nice though to it that you could more easily catch up, but it seemed to forget that you also can more easily dominate.

Will be posted when I'm done, some time today.

I was about to put in a 1:42.8xx but Anatasis held me up on my final lap, a 1:42.5xx was maybe possible but I still don't think it's a legal lap. Not only was the lap completed after the 30-minute mark (when we open the race lounge, there are no exceptions you have to be there or tell us you'll be late, this strictness should carry over imo) and out of nowhere he pulled half a second on me after 30 minutes of being stuck behind? On the final lap?

I've pulled out similar flukes before but never anything to that extent.

EDIT: It may well have been softs too, I can't remember what the soft times were but I do know you can change tyres, set a time, and change tyres again and it should leave you on the tyres you last changed to. Pretty sure I did that last season at Rome.

In regards to the points system change:

Changing it isn't really going to bring the field that much closer, we'll end up with the same scenario and it'll just be harder to catch up if you're behind. I'm going to use F1 as an example again, if you convert 2010 and 2011 to the 2009 points system the standings are almost identical with the same gaps existing between the drivers, may be being a tiny bit smaller. But I'm just throwing my opinion out there.

On paper it looks like it'll change things, but in execution it rarely does. You could perhaps lower the winning points to 38 or 36 or something along those lines, as an extra suggestion.

I had a okay race but still a lot of fun untill I got disconnected and I was so close to throw my router out the window!

I hope next week will go smoother for me without technical handicaps

Sucks you got disconnected, I know all to well how that feels Still 10 races to go though, I reckon we can get 3rd in the team's championship if we're lucky

Well I kinda made it all with the new point system and I think we should try it. If you want to catch up you will have to win races.. just like with the old system and we really don't need 400points on the best one.. looks like F1 with their 20 races or so.

About immortals qualifying time , the reason I questioned it to be a soft tire time is he didn't repeat anywhere near the time in the race with lower fuel and draft . I just want the championship to be fair , that is all.

There are two ways of making it more fair when it comes to qualify if we can't trust everyone.

1. Remove the guys we don't trust.
2. Have a 4 lap race like PURE and WSGTC are doing during the week witch will be watched by race stewards.

I really want a fair championship myself, but due to the lack of replay in qualify there is no way we can prove any cheating even though it looks pretty much like that lap wasn't clean.
If winning races on a console is so important to people that they have to cheat their way to that 1 point you get from pole position I just feel sorry for that guy.

i think we could also try and do 2,3 people at the same time do couple laps for qualifying.. since then everyone can check if their time is actually valid. and we can start up resetting the track & line up according the times we have??

About the point system. in big lines it still does not change much. But drivers who have good consistant results will be rewarded.

I'm still shocked by how good last nights race was, a 13-man, clean, lag free race at Monza with rain? Bring on SSR5.

I see this will take a lot more time than 30 minutes and race will start even later. My race finished on Today, meaning it had passed midnight for me. I don't care, it's the weekend. But look what Maxitsu are saying below

a qualify race would solve a lot, spare time on race night. Give the oportunity to qualify with a qualify set up and soft tyres and re do the car to match the medium tyres and having a race set up.
But then everyone will have to show up more than on Saturday, looking at some guys on PSN who haven't been online in 6days before they start their PS3 to race will most likely ruin the fun for those.
I like that everyone active or not so active have the same amount of time to qualify like we have it now. But is it really to much to ask to come online one time to qualify during the week?

It's with the scores Maxitsu posted and if someone really don't like that I will go back and re do it if the majority feel for that. But for now that's how it looks.

Also I forgot to mention that wishywish or Elysiriar left the championship. So we are now 14 racers.

You got a point. But in wich order do we start the qualy race? Most easy way is the grid order we take from the last race results. We can also let the winner start last, so the results from last race but vice-versa. But in combination whit ballast its maybe to much.
Qualy on a other setup is not necessary for me personnally. and then you need to re-check every car specs again. So the time we win whit the change we do lose again.

Maxitsu:

If we are to do qualify races it will be done when people have the time for it. A 4 lap race should maximum be 4 guys on track, but then you need 4 guys watching. Also make sure to save replay and go over it.
lap 1 warm up lap, lap 2 hot lap attempt 1 lap 3 hot lap attempt 2 lap 4 outlap (need to be finished so everyone on track can finish and to have full replay.

Lap 1 if there are 4 on track
You will have to spread out to get some free air for your hot lap attempts
Lap2 here you can choose to risk everything, but you can crash or you can be risking cutting to much and the lap will not be noted.
Lap3 should go as fast as you can, but to be safe to actually get a lap in.
Lap4 just finish it.

So it's not a race its a replay friendly qualify session.

But as I see there might be 3 maybe 4 tracks there is possibility to actually cheat the qualify time I honestly don't see the problem.

I think we should leave qualifying the same but have everyone declare which tire they are qualifying / starting the race on .

I will take note of this and check in the replay that everyone started on the tire they said they would .

Thanks! we got some great drivers from last season who have improved a lot.. yes pure specs were good but it could be better in my own opinion but there isn't another one to replace it and is the best one at the moment..

hopefully there will be some sort of event again like that 3d3 one, it was great!👍
