ICGTC Season 3 FINISHED

It seems my old Monza setup from season 1 still works well with the new tyre model although it's a little more oversteery than I remember. With softs I can get 1:42's (maybe 1:41 with more practice) and can last 5 to 6 laps while averaging 1:43's. On mediums I can get a 1:44 while pushing a little but averaging high 1:45's / low 1:46's I can last about 9 to 10 laps or so. Still getting used to the new tyre model so maybe after more practice and being more gentle on the throttle I should be able to get a few more laps out of the tyres.

I'm not been very much around this week, well I manage to follow the thread, but I haven't been practicing a lot.

Tuesday afternoon my fiancee almost set our house on fire, she had a gel candle light on and this caught fire. We managed to extinguish the flame. But the candle light still had smoke coming from it. So my girl though the best thing to do was to get it out of the house. So she threw it out the window. While doing so she got the melted wax from the candle over her hand.
We had to visit the emergency Department and the Doctor then said it was mostly first degree burns and some second degree burns.
The day after she had to visit her own doctor and he could tell us it was mostly second degree burn and some third degree and had to come in every day to do bandage replacement.
So you might understand it's been a bit hectic here the last week, but I be there for our race tomorrow for sure. I just can't be practicing and be on top of things.


For the race tomorrow:
Qualify: Must be on the tyre you plan to start the race on, if it starts to rain, qualify will end at 10% standing water and not after 30minutes. So get your hot lap in. This way we can actually do some laps on slicks before we have to come in to get intermediate.

Could someone (I suggest ProPersian) get IMMORTALPILOT up to speed? adding the ICGTC on PSN and the teamspeak thing.

Yes it will. It's the only way race can be started without a lot of hassle with going onto the track and lineup. Most people doesn't seem to have problems with this, but some guys just get to bored or something and start bumping the guys in front, doing childish things that could mess up the start grid. Not willing to let kid behavior mess up our race start.

Sorry if it feels limited, but I just can't do anything with how the game works.
 
I have my gamer pc and a 10 yeahrs old pc.
my gamer pc is only for rfactor and iRacing.
And the old pc have no power and now windows7
sad i dont have a notebook.
for me is the game chat enough.

If you have iPhone or another phone/android ones.. you can use that too .. just pm me and i will help you out m8..

no its actually a good rule , i prefer it this way , makes the 1 soft stint even more special

isnt anyone practicing tonight ?

i have a race at 7 30 but should be free by around 9 30

Wow.. I'm sorry, but w0w a guy with it's own gaming pc and a PC Shop at his back for installing things on it. You need help for windows update also?

You have a link to the the download page. You download the client and double click the file.. the file installing. Run the new prorgram - insert a IP address witch will be provided and a password and your on. I mean if you can have a facebook account you should be able to install this program. No need to be a PC expert ;)

And yes add the psn name ICGTC to your friendlist, just like you added ErikAndre71, We are actually practicing/warming up in this lobby.


Oh and in game voice chat is disabled, this is what caused the lag and maybe even the "online bug" so we disabled it and had a very smooth race. We added teamspeak as it will not take away any ram usage of the ps3. Also teamspeak uses very little of your pc and I don't think a 10year old pc would have a problem running it.

I run the server here and it uses 5MB of memory with 4-5 connected and the bandwith used by the server wasn't measurable. I think we actually talk about 5-10kbit. I guess it will spike some if everyone started talking at the same time.

Are you guys sure that we dont have conecion problems??
Berty have sai me he drive only with 10 people becasue this problems.

Well we solved the problem in another way than Berty did. 11 last time was smooth as with 2-3 drivers so yes I'm pretty sure it will work.

You been claiming your believe in this Berty guy some time now.. who made him the expert?

If you really want the UCD to update more often

Go into the license test, load up five license in a raw (you dont have to re take the license) Go back to the UCD and its fully updated. Keep doing it some times and I guess it show up eventually :)
 
in my opinion everyone who' s doing the race has to join the teamspeak channel, the reason is that it will be very annoying for the stewards to talk explain stuff twice. people who join teamspeak don't have to talk on the mic if they rather not do that, but its better since the communication is very crisp & clear plus you won't miss out on the information being given.

what happened last time falcon??? u gotta join mann i want ze revenge :D

we've found another better way to communicate & have a somewhat lag free race immortal, but since some rules have changed its better to join the teamspeak channel even if you don't have a mic to talk ..;)
 
haha seriously?? yea ill be on too early.. :) definitely a very good start of the season with teamspeak up and running were going to have a good lag free & exciting race!
 
I know we already started the season. But i would like to change the point system. Just a suggestion.

Whit this point system the field gets closer. Whit the current system if you win one race you get a very big gap whit the midfield. The podium places have ballast and now have a smaller amount of extra points. Podium places has a 4-point diffrence, midfield 2 points, and at the back 1.
Becaus we never have 16 drivers you always have some points even if you end up last.
 
It's not confirmed Skengdigi, read what he type man, "just a suggestion" would be the key here ;)

But I like the idea, with the current scores we usually don't have to do the final race to figure out the winner. So a change could make things more interesting ;)

I vote for the new scores Maxitsu gave us there.
 
Yes I like his suggestion , I think it is better

Ill be online in an hour or less , hoping to get about 50 practice laps or more today .

I haven't tested the soft tires yet
 
Yes me too Skengdigi, ill be on also for 45 mins or so.. after that i got to go to the gym to build some muscles :) after that I'm all on..

and btw i suggest that people who haven't had much practice with the group midweek should try and get some laps before the race starts, sinces i bet none wants to be taken out because someone didn't practice their braking points...

Im voting for the new points system also.
 
I'll also be on in an hour or so to practice for an hour.

I think Maxitsu's points system is better as well ;).
