Its RACEDAY !!!!

Been a nice break and its good to be back racing this Saturday.

I advise everyone to please practice their pit entries and pit exits and also to join us before the race today and do a few quick sprint races just to get used to the braking points and handling of the cars when in slipstream.

This ofcourse isnt mandatory but I do recommend it , see everyone on track today and I hope we have a few more sign ups.

yea finaly raceday! i'm already practicing in the lounge if anyone wants to join.. servers doing much better than last night..

I'm not really feeling the NSX here at all. Hopefully I can pull off some decent damage-limitation, but we'll see what happens.

Fun yet frustrating race.

2nd place could have been the most realistic possible place today.
Becaus the tyre-bug i could not get 20's in qually, very odd. caus i could get down to 19 in practise.
But my start was great and my pace was O.K. in no time i was aiming for immortal considering i had my softs still ready. but my teammate came infront of me after the pitstops and i started to think alot about strategy and made a mistake, i could't get on track immidiatly and lost alot of time. I closed the gap again and got Falcon/Erik/hurley back on my softs and 3rd place should have been a good result. then i pitted, unfortunately at my pitstop when i got released i lost time becaus Arkano and then VELO pitted infront of me. Becaus of this lost time i came right behind a moving train Hurley/erik/Gray/Falcon. becaus of the frustration i drove on the limit. got falcon becaus he had a mistake and then behind erik i mad again a mistake on a place were i never spin. when i accelerated i almost spon again and came behind arkano. i hunted him like crazy it was pretty cool. But some how i got off last corners pretty stupid and lost again a place. I should be infront Hurley after my last pitstop. :grumpy:

And congratz to grayfox, You let you self move pretty good away from the driving line when you got lapped. At one point i was on soft wich a greater pace, and somehow you moved you self away right in the middle of corkscrew. Pretty amazing at the moment.

Well I can't wait to race at Laguna and Suzuka next season to redeem myself for the horrible races I've had at these tracks .

Congrats to the top 3 and I'm glad Falcon had a bad race , I think I can hold onto 3rd place in the points hopefully.

Looks like ProPersian could of won this thing if he didn't have to go away next week.

Well I've lost some weight so Monaco here I come

That actually puts him directly on par with Immortal who missed the first race, so if Persian can score more than 18 points in the final three races he's certainly in for a shot at winning this, since Immortal will lose 18 points at the moment for his second drop. He would have to score those 18 points whilst finishing ahead of Immortal in those final three races too.

Fourth was possible today in hindsight, but I am certainly not going to complain about finishing fifth. My one-lap pace as usual was pretty bad, so I only qualified tenth, my worst qualy position ever. In the race I was running ok until around lap six or so when I spun off going up the hill to the corkscrew, lost out to Skendigi and Adam but they span off in the same place within a few laps of each other anyway so I got those places back.

Due to Falcon and Veloci's misfortunes I managed to get ahead of them both, I managed to stay ahead of Veloci for the rest of the race, he came close to catching me near the end but went too deep into turn one and span out, at this point I wasn't expecting to catch Maxi at all, I wasn't even paying any attention to the mini-map and when I came around the last corner of lap 39 I see Maxi on the far left of the track trying to get back up to speed, thankfully I managed to stay ahead of him for the last five laps.

I don't like wishing bad luck on people, but Maxi making two substantial mistakes in the last lap allowed me to secure fifth place and for Falcon to take sixth which now means that I am two points ahead of Maxi and Erik is one point behind Maxi. I can't believe it's been this close all season, hopefully I can have a good race at Monaco and finish third or fourth, they're the only two positions I have yet to fill in so far, but I don't want to jinx anything :P

All to play for in the last three races for fifth place in the championship ;)

nice race report :) ill be away for 3 months arkano, so i won't be there for rome and nurburgrin ( my favorite ) :(.. hopefully ill be back in time for S4 but i don't know if that happens.. anyway lets hope there won't be war in this 3 months that I'm going to the middle east! & come back to race you guys again..

i think monaco should be a great track for my car even with the weight i think i have chance to win but tire wear might be a thing.. but i doubt it. immortal can win rome as he was really fast at that track in pre season.. & nurburgring would be mine :D

anyway my race was pretty spin free.. just did a little failed donut at start finish because i won on my birthday & i had 18 seconds lead on immortal .
mostly i was alone so i had no problems.. it was kinda sweet to see hurley veloci & immortal battle it out in the begin.. i wish i was in those positions i miss the fights over spots :( its been 3 races now that i won with the one on gp being 2nd due to penalty but i can't complain! I'm having a good time in the rankings.. now 1230 kg.. should be interesting!

btw feel sorry for joetruck @ that pitstop bug.. think gray fox got it also since i never saw him get out of the pit again...

I had a pretty good start off the line but it didn't look like falcon know whether to go to the inside or out so I couldn't avoid him. Anyway the race went ok for the most part except for going up the hill in 7th place seemed to be a massive problem since me, skeng and ark all spun out at the same place out of 7th :)
I also fell victim to the pitlane stupidity, I just turned in a fraction early so it was my own fault :( so I went for a banzai stint on softs and managed to catch skeng.

Then why did you change from the outside to the inside because I just couldn't see my braking point in front of you.

I never can win again in this Saeson.
I have always the most weight 120 kg in Laguna.
And 140 kg in Monte Carlo.
That make not fun not possible to win.

Steward Report.

Not much to report after this intense nice battle we had on Laguna Seca.

But there was one thing under investigation, as always the first corner. We had a pretty clean start, but Adam and Falcon had a meeting into turn one that didn't end well for Falcon.
Adam bumps Falcons rear bumper, but we find that hard to avoid since Falcon had a pretty quick defensive maneuver. Falcon had the right to defend and we have to look at that as a racing incident. But the fact that Adam pretty much dived the corner and pushed falcon out in the gravel was not legal and Adam gain a 10 second penalty.

We haven't really looked hard into this replay as no one really complained about anything. Good race.

There was a strange thing happening to the new guy during qualify. I think he entered the track on medium tyres and went back to pit to change tyres. I have no control on people doing this and what they do in their settings menu as I'm on track and I will like to urge no one to try that. Next time I catch that I will have to disqualify people doing this as it is easly to turn off the power limiter and gain a lot of BHP on it

And your post IMMORTALPILOT

If you really can't find the fun in a race without winning you should find yourself another championship to ruin. I haven't won one time since I started here in season 1 and I show up every weekend because I love to race. So I feel as much sorry for you as I feel for Vettel not winning the F1 anymore.. Its nothing, absolutely nothing there

OP is updated btw ;)

I think immortal its just part of racing.. if someone wins there going to be some ballast to make it harder for them to win.. and thats the case for you too.. same goes for me i'm 1230 kg in monaco but we should think about getting rid of it.. maybe let some circuits other people win and lose some ballast..?

Was just about to send you my steward report, looks like you didn't need it anyway :sly:

I'm really interested to see if I can score 24 points ahead of Falcon in the last three races, a very bold challenge indeed, but getting fourth in the championship would be amusing :)

I forgot to mention two things.

Pole position point: ProPersian
Fastest lap: C-Falcon (1:18.496)

And another thing. I know the race yesterday was pretty much attacked by some GT5 bugs, some one complained about strange colored skin on their drivers and I think everyone had a hard time getting temperature into their tyres. Also JoeTruck got stuck in pit. Don't know if it happened to Grayfox also. I though at the time he had thrown in the towel as he was lapped and had no real chance on change his position.
I do believe the tyre temperature thing happened to everyone of us so let's call it a cold day and being stuck in pit is unfortunate, but it's those things we can't control. Very much like a technical error to the car in real life. Good thing it doesn't happen often.

The strange colored skin was obviously something new. I noticed the other day in the game after doing some online activity my avatar picture wouldn't load up in the list and when I pressed my avatar in the GT5 menu I got a gray screen and it said I was offline, I still could do online activity.. Also my level had gone down to 15 for a-spec and 15 for b-spec. They are 40 on both. Restart helped me back on track. Might be something like this happening. But who knows, it's GT5 and we all know it's not really bug free :grumpy:

Your still leading the points mate , your just too good .

I think next season we will have to change the ballast rules to make it harder for drivers that are too good like yourself and ProPersian

Also looking at the OP the points table is very close and I think this will go to the final race for a few positions .

Its a shame Persian has to go on his trip , he could of seriously won this thing . Immortal will retain his championship by default .

I liked some bugs. The green clothes were awesome. I want them now :)

The tyrewear bug happens quite alot. And normally it doesn't effect my times(like on Spa) and it even makes my tyres last longer. But yesterday at Laguna it was the opposite. My best lap in practise was 19.8 whit full fuel after some changes to the balance of my car 20.2 was my goal and whit some lower fuel maybe a little better. But i just could't do better then 21.6??? whit a low tank i could do a 20.6 but it cost alot of effort. Normally i did that easily on full fuel. I think you need the luck your setup works on cold tyres/track whit less grip. At laguna it didn't work at all.

To explain myself better. If you have additonal 120kg it really does not make FUN racing. If you dont believe you can try it.
Maybe I am the ONLY one here who wants to win from time to time but of course more important is to have fun in a race even fighting for the 5th place.
But with this weight the car does not react and drive as it should. This is really funny, isn t it?:grumpy:
