To explain myself better. If you have additonal 120kg it really does not make FUN racing. If you dont believe you can try it.
Maybe I am the ONLY one here who wants to win from time to time but of course more important is to have fun in a race even fighting for the 5th place.
But with this weight the car does not react and drive as it should. This is really funny, isn t it?:grumpy:

Well we added success ballast to stop one man to dominate the championship and you still do. As long as you place on the podium we will add ballast to your car.
Everyone wants to win, but its the question on how much we are willing to do it, I found my self pretty active and practice more than the average driver here and I don't do that much practice not to win. So I want to win just as much as would be normal. But I still find racing more interesting than winning and after last season when I noticed the weight myself I know it kills the fun factor. But when you have 1250kg on your yellowhat and you still place on podium I can't really see how you would find any racing with newbies like the rest of us fun at all.
We added ballast to Skengdigi, he totally messed his race up with it, and lose half of his ballast for next race. You have more and still pretty much dominate.
Because of this we will make the success ballast add faster next season. it will not be half on after the first ballast. So if you win twice in a row the ballast will be 120kg not 90kg. Still it will be half off if you finish off the podium.
Maybe we kill your fun, but we will do what we can to stop one guy from dominating and if you insist to race with guys that much less skilled than yourself you keep ruin the fun for everyone on the podium. I know this doesn't sound good. But I heard so many people want you not racing here because you make it so uneven. Gratz to you, you are number 1, but you should be given yourself more of a challenge.

Just a question to you.. You think its fun to be able to put in a 1:20.178 as the best on medium on Laguna to see you do a 1:19... and then complain about ballast? I actually get angry when I see moaning like that.

I know what you mean Immortal I have driven with ballast this entire season , not as much as you but I have always had ballast since after the 1st race .

Maxi I like you struggled in qualifying , I could do 1 19s in practice but could barely get a 1 20 in the qualifying session . Maybe it was just me being nervous , sometimes it gets the best of me .

Not nervous at all. Previous seasons i was nervous. When i started the race i felt my heart pop out of my chest and ruined my race in a few corners. Now i am calmed down and most-of-the-time i am so relaxed and confident in my own ability. Sometimes a little to relaxed like on Indy and to "kind" for other drivers at times. In qualy my tyres were full blue in my first hot lap and in my second hot lap my tyres were degraded at the same rate as i normally would have on 5/6 laps old tyres. In practise i could do 4 laps into the 20's.

Well if you really want to win from time to time and still have FUN. You could easily be smart and drive your car outside the podium to win twice after it whitout that kind of ballast.

Its not fair of us to say you have to leave the league simply becaus you are faster. But if i was you i should find my self a league/game/championship or whatever were you could have actually a challenge.

You may whine becaus you can't win. But what does other guys suppose to do? like (for example) Grayfox, joetruck, Troylee? i don't hear them whine they can't win? Even i had FUN in the past when i got lapped 3 times each race and made it a challenge to finish infront of only one other car. You could make it a challenge to win races on that heavy ballast, but you already do in my opinion. If you have no fun at doing this just have find a better league or try other cars to improve yourself as a driver/tuner.

I ended up parking my car because i was going to get lapped by half the field and didn't want to get in anyones way.

Immortal can I just say this is a championship and not a series of exhibition races. Now that Pro has to leave you are pretty much assured of retaining your title which was your goal at the start of the season. The ballast is there to stop you winning every race, which it has but you are still miles out in front in the standings; to me thats winning, and if you dont find that fun then I dont know what is. A few years ago a guy called Andrew Pitt won the world super sport title without winning a single race along the way, did he complain? Of course he didn't because he won the main prize. I hope that doesn't sound too rude I'm trying to make you see it from our point of view.

You know that I appreciate you very much such as the ICGTC as a series as it s done in a very professional way.
What would you say when people tell you that you are too fast and therefore they don t like you.....???
So I founded - as many of you know - my own F2010 league.......
https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=244514 ....in order to compete with the fastest guys around GT5 in a car very very difficult to drive.
People there can accept when I win and I try to help them to get faster, even if they are already very fast.
There is no extra ballast and the guys are happy to have such a difficult competition.
What I wanted to say, is that racing cannot be putting always more ballast, because one is faster than the other or excluding him from the event....never heard about that in real life.

Otherwise my apologies for being fast..............waiting for comments what the hell I can do be accepted like I am.
I hate to be hated ONLY because I drive fast...........and as all you know I never was arrogant or something like this.

With the right training everybody can be fast, I am sure!

Eric! Understand YOUR point of view perfectly!

to be honest i think immortal is just a great natural and i to be honest wouldn't want to race in a a championship where they trow people out because of them being fast.. i know i can give immortal a challenge with winning 3 of my last races and having great battle with immortal its just great.. and immortal.. i'm not quite sure but i think even F1 has ballast..
i am actually really glad this topic has been brought to light.. because finally we should get this out of the way & kinda was getting tired of people complaining that immortals fast or what ever... he's just got a great tune on his car & even with ballast its just a great car to drive.. i found my perfect setup base also so i will not complain if i keep getting ballast.. maybe its hard but you got to accept that there has to be chance for everyone aswell..

just keep doing your own thing immortal.. and thats just drive to win the championship.. with or without ballast.. & for the rest i know everyone has had their benefits of wanting to catch up with him thus making them improve their skills...

I love all the action in our thread .

Immortal no one hates you for being fast , it isn't personal its just competitive . Its just how people dislike Sebastien Vettel for always winning in the best car .

The ballast system is there to level the playing field , GT5 is a videogame and the idea is to make it as fair and competitive for all of us . We have a very very close field here , as you can see with the wins spread out this year .

I'm sure next season will be even closer than this one .

I think in the offseason we can revise a few things to balance out the cars a bit more and improve the ballast system as Erik posted earlier .

Also I keep editing , I would like to add that Immortal for a driver as fast and talented as you are you are a bit too aggressive and sometimes force / push other cars on the track , there is usually contact when driving with you . I think that is the only part of your driving you need to work on . There is a certain gentelemans code within drivers and a certain type of sportsmanship I expect in this league , I don't think you make room or give room to your competitors .

I think if we drove with heavy damage you would drive differently in close contact situations .

I don't think anyone necessarily wanted Immortal out of the league we just don't want 1 person to dominate the league . He has the most podiums and missed 1 race .

1. I can accept you and whit your wins, and i am sure other drivers does this too. I really don't care about that. I have my own goals. And we don't exclude you from anything. You can sign-up for next season like everyone else.

2. You are whining about rules that were made before you signed-up for this league. So I guess you readed the rules before entering this league. Besides the ballast system is used in real life to in the GT500 series. if you don't like it don't sign-up for GT500 series.

3. You whine becaus you can't win enough races and have no fun whit that kind of ballast while you are winning whit a massive gap to other drivers. So i gave you some hints/tips.
- Pick a other league were you have FUN and no ballast
- Try a car were you are less good whit. (to have some challenge. maybe?, or simple no ballast)
- Race smart and race off podium 1 or 2 times to lose ballast.

I say again, i do not exclude u from anything and its not like i don't like you; You whine about not having FUN, i gave you some options to help you. you decide.

Immortal, you are one of the fastest drivers I have raced against and the rivalry has been healthy, the only reason I am not in the hunt is because of incidents of my own doing and with persian on excellent form this would of been a fascinating finish but not to be...

i so agree with you on this!👍

i think for next season, skengdigi maxitsu & erik will step up their game a couple notches & we will have a close championship..

i remember being mid pack whole season 2 now I've improved & learned from the mistakes & I'm in top runners.. and thats all because the will to become better & get closer to immortal & falcon.. and it just happened ..

I think it's ludicrous that Immortal is complaining about not being able to win because he has too much wait from finishing on the podium already. Disgusting. Don't tell me I can't accept your wins either because I've been doing that since the pre-season of season two.

Not many people here will remember season one as they weren't there, sure the competition was less than it is now, but our podiums were unpredictable each race with the exception of one-guy who was always a gentleman racer. Whenever I'm on track with Immortal I genuinely fear for my car's well being. You just don't care about other people on track, heck you caused me to lose 4th place in Indy because you didn't have the patience to wait one, two maybe three corners. I find it even worse that people are warming to Immortal's ego.

I race each weekend to race with reasonably like-minded people and compete with them. I can't compete with Immortal, whatever, I don't care, but to me Immortal shows up on a Saturday, finishes first or second and then disappears for a week. He doesn't practise with us, he doesn't post in the thread, he doesn't listen in on teamspeak, anything. Not that any of that is required, but it creates a nice inter-league community I'm making any sense.

I have absolutely no sympathy for you. It's would be like someone buying me a Ferrari and complaining that it's not fast enough. I know I sound bitter, and I am to be honest.

Perhaps the league I created has outgrown me, who knows.

No arkano, its because you can't get along with Immortal which is totally understandable.

Even though this season hasn't gone according to plan for me, I do love racing with you guys and what I have learned to do is to test more often when I can.

Alonso and Massa complains. :mischievous: sorry i couldn't help myself :dopey:

But i agree whit you apart from the indy-incident. Can't judge that.

I probably step down a bit as I'm bored to death by a driving sim that celebrate overdriving of tyres and have a damage module that encourage snow plow driving. (Pushing your way through to overtake)

And I'm not going put this into cotton for you, and I can put it black on gray.
I don't want IMMORTALPILOT to leave because his good, and he is good, maybe one of the best in the world.. To be fast. To be clean, on the edge to get a penalty in almost every race because he forces his way through the field if he have to. Patient race driver, not so much.
And not being able to take a second position without whine about our rules.
This is something I don't like to see when I open up this thread, We can discuss the rules and the prove of that is that we changed the rules from season to season. But changing rules because one guy can't take a second place.. well I don't see that happen.

It's not that I don't like the guy, I just don't like the way he behave.

And if I see he post again about another championship in this thread witch he clearly believe is the best championship in the world I would report it as spam. We seen it before and most of us looked at it and got shocked about the demolition derby going on there. Nothing much to simulate a race there.

I also agree with Arkano on this one, I also miss GP, he was the first to get angry and leave because of the snowplow driving. I looked at him as some kind of sore loser, but I see it from a different angle today. I always hated people going over dead bodies to reach their goal.

I'm absolutely the same now too.

Massa is just poor now :sly:

GP quit way to fast in my opinion, there was lag and he was already leaving. But i would like to race against him again. He was indeed a very clean driving. I don't like "people going over dead bodies" either in a race.

so that brings us again whit heavy damage?

so that brings us again whit heavy damage?

Well I don't believe heavy damage is the answer as it is only that. Heavy damage. Not real damage and putting someone to the wall to make a overtake would punish the guy put to the wall harder than the guy doing it. It would be the case in the real world also, but losing out drivers when having 40 cars on the track isn't the same as when we have 12.
I bet we would seen someone drop out if they get punted into a wall early on Nurburgring24h when they have to go 24km with a broken engine to fix it. That would make me consider doing something else with my time as all my chances would be lost.

In the real world you will ruin the air split board under your front spoiler and it would take longer to fix than drive with it for the rest of the race. This is what create front downforce and also help the air flow under the car and the lap times would increase and also the tyre wear.
Even though these cars are almost built as a formula 1 cars its just not that simple to change the "nose"

You could also risk taking out a wheel, flat tyre or even the steering of the car making you lose control of the car and have to abort the race.

Heavy damage is just not real enough to even consider it, I know some championship uses it with luck, but I see it as a weak way to try to avoid something that shouldn't be needed to avoid.

But someone talked about putting ABS to off and that seemed to me could make people a bit more careful on corner turn in and it could actually work to prevent over aggressive driving. Also it gives a lot better balance to the cars. I though maybe it would be to hard for the DS3 users, but after seeing Hurleyman24 go around Laguna with ABS off during practice before our race and doing consistent lapping I can't really say that's the case

Well it looks like we will be testing no abs in the off season :)

I think heavy damage would help us but it isn't necessary as Erik says there are other ways .

What I would like to see next season is no abs , the same one soft stint rule and a new mandatory hard tire stint rule .

We have 3 more races so ill concentrate on those remaining races , I'm hoping to get back on the podium at Monaco , my Laguna Seca performance was disgusting .

HurleyMan has 1150 kg for the next race , the OP says he has 1160 kg

I want to remove the two compound rule because of two things. First of all because some people think they can do what ever when they are on a softer compound than the guy in front. Because they want to put those soft to "good use".
Also we are 16 drivers + a reserve now, meaning we could easily have a full grid, if you are the unlucky one to join the room last with a full grid on Monaco you have no time to operate the menu where you change your tyres. There are also other tracks the time to operate that menu will be very short. Making a advantage to be the lucky once to enter early.

Hurleyman24's success ballast amount have been fixed.

Well I suggest we either use mediums only or hards only , I guess we will discuss it after this season . We can have a vote and discussion .

Anyway back to Season 3 which has been the most fun I've had with GT5 :)

Is anyone practicing Monaco today , I will be on at around 4 pm gmt

I agree with one tire option and that I have been having fun in this series

Im not sure when 4 pm gmt is but im ready now before psn goes down

I'm logging on now , I'm also on teamspeak

Erik could you clarify what's the legal way to take that chicane after the tunnel please.

Maybe if we could get some pictures just so everyone knows and sees

I have a personal best of 1 32 047 on the medium tire so far
