Ugh, rear tyres are just utter crap here. Not expecting anything fantastic tonight, the track gets quite tedious too.

Should be a close race though. Doubt I'll hang on to 5th in the championship now.
 
My race was full of mixed emotions today. Maxi decided it would be a smart idea after already hitting me into the fast kink around lap seven or eight to then try and go through me and Hurleyman, me & Maxi just stuck together and ultimately slowed each other down while Adam came up behind and caused Maxi to spin and me to plow sideways into the wall.

That incident allowed Anastasis to get much closer to me, which to my detriment meant that when I gave it far too much throttle coming out of the last corner on lap nine, he had no choice but to go into the side of me, giving us both damage. I stuck it in the slipstream so Hurley wouldn't pass me, but because I had damage on my already worn right-rear wheel, I span going into turn one which put me dead last and meant I had to pit on lap eleven since my rear tyres were just completely shot at this point.

After that I did two stints of 15 laps each, which I was happily proud about, catching everyone in front of me too. Hurley came and went and then I spent the rest of the race chasing down Erik for fourth place, unfortunately by the time I'd caught Erik my tyres were gone and we were doing almost identical times for the last few laps.

Maxi only needs to score ten points to grab fifth in the championship now, so I guess that relegates me to sixth or seventh, which is unfortunate. I guess that teaches me for having an awfully poor first half of the season (with the exception of Monza), lesson learned. Adapt, practise, be smart.

Oh and by the way, I think we should remove the 'drop two results' rule completely for season four.
 
It was smart untill someone paced me against the wall. yes i hitted you sleightly becaus you and hurley braked earlier then i had in mind. Butyou lost time going around Hurley. There was just enough room for between u guys.


Qually went Ok whit second place whit a diffrence of 4 hundreds. i could beat that but didn't drive a perfect lap.
My computer crashed just before race. I lost consentration and missed my start. becaus of circumstance i down the field, In the field i got threated by many cars and at one point i just got pushed into the wall whit heavy damage, 4 place and time were lost in a split second. Becaus i was last on destroyed soft tyres the race was over. Retiring came to mind. I still kept going. To be suprised i still was in for a fight becaus Adam, Ana, Hurley, Pro? ark had there own problems becaus i still was chasing them. I got stchk behind difdrent cars, I made contact whit Anastasis leaving me again whit damage while Arkano had again the luck he didnt damage his car. Then i tried again from last place but i got behind the lead for some laps holding me up. When i was finally free i had no good tyres left to fight Adam at the end.

Worst race ever since Monza. But the good thing is i got at least got some more points now. But this time it was not all my fault.

Race today I had no good feeling as my pace really wasn't there, yes I lied earlier on about doing alien times. But that was just done in hope to set ProPersian out abit and hope he over did it. I did go faster earlier this week, but I used a lot of time to get my car to go really consistent as I could't come close to challenge the high speed guys around here.

So my qualify went like expected, even worse. I did hope to be able to beat Adam as I did a lot of practice, but I came short as Adam got a lap in I couldn't beat. So Grid pos. 9 on me.

I did hope to be in free air as my car acts so much better, but starting from the back meant something else. I needed to stay onto the guy in front. But today I really was lucky, first corner Arkano stops up in the wall and I could easily pass him. And in lap 3 I came out on the back straight and saw Maxitsu and Adam go slow, something had happened. I didn't even bother to try understand what, I just grabbed the opportunity to take advantage of the situation. And that made me 5th, Like a good attacker at the football field. Be at the right place at the right time. Lucky me.

As I really wasn't the fastest one around here I now had to make my Motul as wide as a wall to keep 5th and lucky me did it. And by lap 7 the pass I made in lap 3 really showed important as there was a big mess in sector 3 with the guys behind me. Lucky again and I could build a "lead".

Skengdigi said something about me having some tricks up my sleeve and I had to show a few of them today as I protected against Hurleyman24 who was on soft. Not my intention to block him and I hope I didn't do any illegal, but like I said to him when we raced. You wont get anything for free.

In the end I was on 4th as ProPersian did a pit mistake and decided to park. So 5th today would have been great. 4th is just not expected.
Good race to Arkano who chased me all the way to the finish line.

There was a few incidents today that we would have to look into, so could the stewards show up on TS tomorrow? Same time as last weekend.

Despite managing to sneak 2nd place away on the last corner of the last lap I am a little dissapointed. I'm hoping I will beat Falcon for 3rd in the championship but its getting very close ,my goal for this race was to beat him and I couldnt , Falco was just too good .

Every chance I had i got stuck behind Immortal on worn tires and it was impossible to pass him , I had several chances but failed everytime , I guess I need a little more practice in overtaking maneuvers , I complained before the race that its really impossible to overtake here and the same thing happened to me in the race .

Falcon had around a 5 second lead on me all race and when I had the tires to catch him a bit I would get stuck behind a slower Immortal , I managed to get the lead down to 3 seconds every stint but at that time I would get stuck behind Immortal and the lead would go back to 5 sometimes 7 seconds .

The good news is that I managed to pass Immortal in the end and get 2nd place , coming 3rd would have hurt me a lot more in the total points as Falcon would be a lot closer to me than he his now.

Great racing as usual guys , one more race then its on to Season 4
 
mann i had a disasterous race, had a very bad start with falcon caught me, had about 3 laps to get back on 1st place.. everything went ''ok'' until i was going in the pit on lap 11, or 12 it was.. & i used softs on accident. lost 40 seconds to falcon in 1 lap.. i was making a comeback as i was getting closer and closer shaving of couple of tenths of my loss on falcon but suddenly when i was getting close to catch erik my pedal wire just disconnected with i stopped completely losing almost 10 seconds, total frustration for me, tried the hard tires at the end to make a good comeback but nothing worked yesterday.. so i parked it just wasn't my day..

anyway nrburgring should be fun but i won't be around since i wanted to get my fligt on sunday but now i have to take it on thursday.. crazy mess for me..

congrats to immortal on his win on s3 again.. i feel i had potential to beat him and strip of his championship from s2 but yea luck isn't always at our side isn't it?

Falcon has won 3 races , Immortal and Pro won 2 races , Arkano SkengDigi HurleyMan and Veloci2nr have won 1 race each

Just thought id throw that one out there

I have a good question! At what time we were on TS last weekend?💡

Last weekend it was after the F1 race, I think we started 15:00 CEST or 16:00CEST. Since there isn't a F1 race this weekend I'm ready soon. I just have to make some coffee and hope I wake up a bit.

After the race yesterday I went downstairs to see that we had company and I was fooled into having a beer. One become two and two become 3 and so on. So I just woke up, feeling great really, but it was early morning before I went to bed. A bit to old for this I guess..

Should we say 1pm BST and 14:00 CEST? (that's in about 30 minutes)
 
Steward report.

It have been a busy day for the stewards today and a few heated discussions and we had a few different view on this and that's healthy.

We looked into different things going on around the track and we also got a few things reported.

Small things have been checked and found hard to give a penalty for so we decided to see it as racing bumping and racing incidents. Things happen in a heated battle and a heated battle it was.

Lap 7 last sector incident was discussed for 30 minutes or even more all in all in the end I had to let Steward Skengdigi take the decision on it and he say racing incident. Skengdigi was the only one except me involved and I gained on it as I could drive away.
Here is why.
Hurley broke early with slipstream, Arkano also broke early too but still hit Hurley and then Maxitsu and Arkano went side by side into the second to last corner. This because, Maxi pushed himself in between Arkano and Hurley

Adam goes too quickly into the corner but Maxi and Arkano bounces off each other and off the wall and he try to do the same thing almost everyone involved already did, push his way through.

The incident started at the fast kink, no one can really be penalised, too many involved.

Stewards have decided to remove the track from next seasons track list as incident like this hurts a lot more people than the once involved. It's to fast and to narrow to open up for good racing.

Lap 18 last corner Maxitsu doesn't give Anastasis enough room where Anastasis clearly have enough overlap 10 second penalty to Maxitsu for blocking. Over the start finish straight all kinds of strange things happened, but there was cars with damage and we know Anastasis drive with a DS3 and damage could be hard to control with that stick. We see it as a result of the incident in the last corner.

Adam gets a warning for aggressive driving and also for pushing Arkano lap 5 sector 3.


Notes:

We know not everyone involved in this will agree and I can live with that, no one wants to be the one to blame and some always think they got hurt more than others. Both are correct, but that's racing some times. So please don't use the thread to a moan about it and accept the decision made. After all we are here doing this for free so the moaning after last decision is not something I'm willing to re-live.

Arkano, don't rule out EAN. 💡 I did some poor races myself. And If i got pushed away by others its quite difficult to get any good result. I am not really thinking about 5th place right now but just to do fun races. And thats apperently not the case anymore. I doubt i will drive at Nurburg.

Due to the stupid rule about removing two races I will be hurt more than you guys since I've been more consistent in my results. You both have a really bad result and you both have some higher result than I do. So when I remove 12 points you remove 5, Arkano 4. That means I will lose out witch is totally unfair from my point of view.. I should go cry to mommy.

If you want to "go there" with fun races you should know that this championship have become more and more competitive, also you have become a lot more competitive so everyone will fight for position. I don't see the respect for other drivers gone and I can't find anyone deliberately try to ruin the race for others by being dirty.

When everyone wants to win or place as high as possible it will be a few incidents happens and I can't see you have more fun if someone else get a penalty.

I've seriously have been thinking of dropping out due to the fact that people not knowing how to drive. Using Automatic gearboxes still can be competitive witch should not be the case and people uses glitches in the damage model and tyre model to gain a lot. And a netcode that makes strange movements when two cars are side by side making bouncing almost impossible to avoid at times. And people overdrive their tyres with almost no tyrewear acceleration.

I will stay because I love to race you guys, but if you want to not race Nurburgring because the "fun" is gone. Well my decision for not even bother to do season 4 will be much closer to real.
 
Maxi, we all have bad races. I had an entirely awful season last season and my races at Fuji and Suzuka this season were far worse than your race at Rome yesterday. We all get angry and annoyed when things go wrong.

The second half of the season has really been a step-up in my opinion from the rest. The competition has improved and I'd say the racing quality has too. I still race for fun, I don't have the time at the moment to practise as much as I could in season 1 but hopefully I will soon and I hope to stand on the podium a far few more times than the two times I have this season.

If racing in championships since this game released has taught me anything, it's that you should never give up. Never give up, never surrender. I was dead last by a big margin after my spin on lap 9, yet I still came back to take fifth and missed out on fourth by 1.5 seconds. In Laguna Seca and Monaco I was slower than a number of people who finished behind me but lady luck sang my way and in Indy I was denied fourth by Immortal shoving me off the track.

I doubt I'll race past season four, but I certainly intend to race all of season four.

Even though the teams championship doesn't do much, I think we should keep it. It's a fun thing to keep, just as an extra little thing.
 
Yeh Maxi dont let one race get you depressed , Its all part of racing , you win some you lose some , you laugh and you cry.

Your a great driver Maxi , you just had bad luck yesterday , It happens to the best of us .

Cant wait for the pre season for season 4 so we can determine the regulations and tracks that we plan to use.

I would like to see the total races increased from 12 , maybe 13 or 14 , what do you guys think ? Since it might be the last season for some of us , why not make it a few races longer

And I also would like to see the 2 worst results removed rule removed ( a little confused just typing it )

Very true, that was the very first thing i said at the beginning of the season. i think i also said it around race 4 to you if i am correct. It really hurt drivers who are consistent & dedicated.

You are saying this for a while now..about dropping out. and i am sorry to hear that. I am also sorry i am not the perfect driver and use a AG.

I Have nothing against it. Erik is right about things. Being not fair becaus of teamates dropping out & becaus there is no teamwork. But i don't mind if it stays (or go).
 
Arkano mention something about manufacturer leaderboard where the two best from each manufacture count. Then it doesn't hurt anyone if someone doesn't race.

And Maxitsu, I don't really care if your competitive with AT, I do like to challenge myself and I would also like people around me to challenge them self. And AT should have given a slower gearing. If I have to gear mid corner I have to move my hand. While a AT driver just let the game gear for you. Making my cornering less accurate and in the end it punish the once using MT.

I read over what I posted about it and it did seem like a attack on you knowing your the only one using AT, but its all the game making me annoyed.
 
I like the idea of having teams but real teams , if you get what im saying . Teammates who actually work together during the week or raceday tuning and trying to get the best out of their cars .

I think if we could choose who we want to team up with next season it might work better , some people might see this as unfair so I guess we would have to vote on it and discuss it a bit more.

On another note if we drove with Heavy Damage yesterdays race would have been crazy , lol .

I am in for that. But there is something i personally hate.
for example Driver 1 practising the whole week, set-up the car to be perfect.
Driver 2 comes online 1 houre before race: "Hey mate, i couldn't practise. PM your setup" "thx dude, now i can win".

Thats why I would like the teams to be optional in Season 4 and then have the drivers who want to team up and actually work as a team be able to do so.

Some of us are just casual drivers who dont have the time or dedication to practice like others do , so I guess we have to keep an open mind on the subject.

It's a great idea to let people team up, I tried to make people do that for this season as well, but no one really did. Also we have the car selection, if you want to team up it would be cool to be able to help each other and as every car have a bit of a different to them a set up made for the calsonic might not work very good on a Xanavi.

ProPersian and I planned to team up for this season with the Motul, but even though I asked ProPersian to be on when car selection started he didn't respond and Maxitsu picked the other Motul. And even if it wasn't planned I had a great time driving with Maxitsu on my team and could team up with him any time. Just look at the team leaderboard, we did great Maxi!!

But others wasn't as lucky as us, I bet team Arta and team Yellowhat would have done a bit better if they had two cars on the track!

I mean if anyone wants to team up and practice together I think it's a great idea, but I don't see the point of having a leaderboard for it. Also I would think it would be better if the team was based on the results. Meaning the good drivers help the not so good drivers instead of having two good drivers team up to dominate the championship. This way we could have a steeper learning curve for the new guys joining.

And I agree with Maxitsu that it is just lame not to show interest all week and then when joining 10 minutes before the race to get the team mate setup to be able to have a decent race. If the interest level is that low you should just not get things that easy. Someone worked all week to the setup of that car.

Also my suggestion for dropping team leaderboard is the obvious.. Interest level, we see people tell us this is the championship they have on priority number 1 and still they only show for 50% of the races. Nothing wrong with that, but it do hurt team mates. And it will be hard to predict the dedication to people through out the championship.

I misunderstood then. I really want to learn MT. I should learn it in seasonals and A-spec. But i am so bored of these events. So i only drive for this league. And i rather practise in the way i would race so... I am hoping GT6 is coming soon. then i start the game whit MT. When the game is completed i take the experience online. Or maybe the next F1-game. if GT6 keeps me waiting.
 
Well I turned off suggested gear indicator when that was possible.. and that slowed me down a bit as you easily could use it as a you need to brake indicator also. But now I'm not turning it back on again. Its just so much more to the driving than all the helps GT5 gives you. Yes after I turned if off I had a few not so good races, but I'm not waiting for a new game to come out to improve myself.

I tried to look to the revs/gears/tools on the screen. But i have to turn my head to much to left becaus i am sitting literally whit my nose against the screen. So i lose a eye on track.

I am not in the mood to spend houres & houres of practise on free run or boring a-spec races while i could do something fun. I rather learn it when i enjoy playing a (new)game. If i drive saturday, i maybe would try MT. Its not smart to start your training on the nurburgring 24h.:scared: I probably end up last.
 
Well we are just not the same, for me this championship also is the only thing about this game I enjoy. But to stay interested I need to challenge myself and I don't care about a race done on a console game.. I of course want to win it, but if I would have to use every available help the game offer, well I could just as well have a handbook telling me how to have sex with my girlfriend.

And as far as I know AT where you don't even have to use a handle wouldn't be a race car in my opinion. Even NASCAR have a stick, and the American doesn't use a stick on the road even.
A indicator telling you what gear you should use and flash if your speed is to high and you need to brake.. well having that in a race car would be the day.

And no, a handbook for sex isn't normal either..:scared:

This is why I will find a game that actually makes me the driver more enjoyable!
 
I go for the handbook, but i rip the first pages out.


Oh does somebody know were the 2-monthly DLC's are? i want some new tracks :(

They replaced it with GT Academy 2012 I guess. You will be able to download a toyota on my birthday.. 1st of may. In a stand alone game to participate in the academy. Wooohooo Interesting!!
