New York to Los Angeles. No highways.

3005 miles/4836km.

The new Grand tour. Just imagine the scenery. Awesome.

What a cracking thread. I can't wait for a time when technology would allow us to do this.

My vote would be for Austrailia's Great Ocean Road.

That could and would be worth an entire, single game. Even goes by some areas I know. 👍

I was actually just thinking of this myself, I should be able to get a picture and map up sometime.
It's just a section of twisty, hilly farmland mountain/valley road that I think would be about 2-3 miles of Nurburgring-esq awesomeness.

When the time is right, I'll hop on a plane, fly to the USA, buy or rent a car, and take that route. With a camera on my dash. 👍

With just GT4 level graphics, I would pay 60$ for a "GT" of that "track" only.
Imagine the leaderboard times people would get.

"Drive across America"
And you could save at any of marked "rest stops" or hotels, (just save points, cleverly named) and do group tours online, like gumball 3000.
20 (the more the better) people in random fast cars just buzzing along, goofing off, doing comparative driving, for a week.

Aren't we missing somewhere?

I was gutted DP didn't develop it into TT because I wouldn't care if any other tracks had been made for it if it included this beast.

You should share what/where it is for those of us distant enough to have no clue. ;)
The names look and sound English... Still no clue.

Oh, sorry, I thought it would be a famously well known circuits, guess I was wrong. It's the Isle of Man TT course.

In a car? Would be quite a erm, tight fit between the walls.

Oh man. By my math compared to the Nurb, you could do that distance (At race pace) in just over 24 hours... The new enduro. I would actually be bothered to do that if it was in the game.

The home of my Ancestors. You'd be forgiven for thinking the vast majority of peeps would have known about the TT. It would make an awesome track for GT5...

M25 London arterial road.

Drat, I was going to say the M25. Make it like a rally special stage and have it in both directions, first person to get back to the starting point wins :P

I've looked on google maps before to try and get a decent course around Glasgow and failed, but I'll give it another try.

Continuing the local to our house trend.

No no, you live in Wales, and according to Top Gear you have some pretty awesome roads out in the country.

Get out of the city, and go into the country. :)
