If PD joined Google Maps with the Track Editor, what would you make?

Oh man. By my math compared to the Nurb, you could do that distance (At race pace) in just over 24 hours... The new enduro. I would actually be bothered to do that if it was in the game.

We drove oregon to Alabama in just over 48 hours average speed of 65mph, so your estimate sounds right

There is an amazing road like half a mile away from me, I'll try and get a pic up soon. Ive been dreaming about GT'in that road for years.

cherohala skyway in eastern TN/Western NC. ~40 miles of awesome-sauce

Totally agree! 318 Turns in 11 miles! Deals Gap, North Carolina, USA

I rode Deals Gap several years ago on my Ninja ZX-9 and it's amazing! It would be just as much fun in a great car too! IMHO, this is the U.S. version of the famed Nurburgring... LOL

Beware of The Dragon!

A longish route in my home town. I wanted something to brake up the monotony when on the escarpment, but the roads up there aren't very wide. Then again, neither is the climb up, but it'd be a whole lot of fun in the safety of a video game :D

I'd probably put the S/F line at Governors Blvd up by the college (the B marker). The run down the escarpment would be great in faster cars; the bottom of it has a sort of mini-corkscrew, a tight right as the road's still descending that always had me thinking about a street course growing up.

If we're talking real world courses, I'd just hunt down two: Cadwell Park, and Mas du Clos.

I had actually thought about this a few years ago.

Lyons is built basically in three tiers like Seattle, delineated by Broad Street and Route 14. I've actually, *ahem*, driven the Dickerson/Cherry street loop at speeds one could consider less than legal, and it is a very fun bit to drive on.

This is mine
Sector 1: Green
Sector 2: Yellow
Sector 3: Red
In Sector 1 it starts off with really close barriers, like Monaco, then leads out into the country for alot of sector 1. Sector 2 is entirely country and sector 3 starts with country but ends with very close barriers. Its my local village and i think it would be a great track. It has a wood's near by and has a great location.

Living this close to the Chesapeake means most of the roads right near me are either point to point or very short loops. I mean, there are some fantastic twisty driving roads as a result of the bumpy terrain, but they're too short to actually use for racing.

Anyway, in about a 25 minute drive from my house you get to Arrundel Mills Mall.

2.1 miles, the roads are slightly bumpy, but just enough to be fun without being annoying. Well, they were until construction of the parking garage started, but once that's done it should be even better.

And with the mindbogglingly massive facades some of these places have the scenery would be great.
Pictures:
Medieval Times
Movico Egyptian. This actually wraps around the side a little, too.
Bass Pro - Outdoor World

And those are just the big 3.

I've never actually gone more than a little over the limit, but I have always enjoyed the idea of going around there full tilt.

Unfortunately if anyone were to try to model the place for a game they'd either be mugged or killed before they could finish.

Kobe Harbour: a little less than 4 km long, anticlockwise, at least two lanes wide everywhere, usually at least 3, pits between G and F. Who knows how the track would be to drive, but looking at it from street level on Google maps, the scenery would be fantastic. It has it all: during the lap you will see the Kobe Port Tower, a Ferris wheel, a straight lined with trees on both sides, the sea, glassy modern office buildings, urban messes, monuments, boats and elevated expressways. The circuit would pass under railways and the pit lane would be under an elevated expressway like in Seattle.

The dinky chicane at F could be easily removed.

I like that one. Reminds me of Long Beach with some Monaco thrown in.

I would make some of the back roads were i live into a track. Full of corners, elevation changes and i know the perfect road for a straight.

I would choose to make this one...a breathtaking route through mountain "taygetos" close to "sparta" (have you seen the movie "300" right..? :dopey:)

It would make it some really amazing rally course..!!! is 58km btw :sly:

I have the ultimate circuit that pulls in iconic parts of GT5 that exist in the real world. After seeing the Indy cars race through the streets of Baltimore last year, I completely think it is possible to build a circuit using the BIG DIG in BOSTON!

You have a start/finish on the bunker hill bridge which resembles the Grand Valley Bridge. Redirect traffic onto one of the supporting bridges so all 8 lanes could be used for the main straight, pit road, and grand stands. It would be a traffic nightmare but it would be the coolest thing ever to see cars race down the bridge at 100+ miles per hour.

At the end of the bridge, the cars roar into the feature tunnel of the big dig. Still 4 lanes wide the cars would dive deep under the city. You'll swear you were racing down SSR7 or SSR9 as the florescent lights mark the edges of the road.

Taking the first exit tunnel would put you on the surface artery, a beautiful strip of gardens walled in by tall buildings on either side. A perfect spectator location as the cars exit the tunnel at full speed and brake for a 90 degree turn.

Next the cars head for the water front in Boston's historic North end. The turns will remind you a little of London and a little of Monaco as you race down narrow roads with sharp turns. Buildings on one side, the waterfront on the other side.

Next comes the Charlestown bridge taking you back over the charles river.

After a few more turns, you'll swear you were at Cape Ring as you struggle for grip around the final high speed loop ramp leading back to the Bunker Hill bridge. Get the apex right and you'll fly down the straight to victory!

All this within a 3 mile loop!

Well, pretty much a dream come true!!

Awesome, although I can't help but think that's the most expensive racetrack ever...hehe

Yes, and with a good portion under ground, it would be tough to draw spectators. I can't imagine what an Indy car would sound like driving through that tunnel.

My idea is to take just over 6km of Australias most known public road and use it as a racetrack. MT PANORAMA (BATHURST)!

This is near where I live, it has some great elevation changes. Pittsburgh should be one giant racetrack. Sorry for my bad drawing skills.

An update of the old Birmingham Street Circuit used in the late 80's and the only street circuit used on mainland Britain! (I think lol)

Start/Finish at K, goes round Anti-C/wise.
