Apart from the slight hitch, I thought it was fantastic stuff tonight! First time I've done some decent length online races, and they were all really enjoyable!
Sorry I had to leave last night but my game kept misbehaving, I've honestly never had connection issues before, the only thing I did different was clear my cache (I hope that hasn't wrecked my online play!)
When I hit exit to go back to the lobby to adjust my transmission in race 1 the game just hung, I had to restart the game to get back in, managed to get a couple of qualifying laps in and did a 1:54.630 followed by a 1:54.4 which showed me as pole position. Got the message to enter the pits then the countdown started immediately after so I didn't have a chance to pit. During the count down it stopped at 17 secs, when the race started I was at the back of the field with the 17 secs left in the middle of the screen, I got no keep brakes on warning or race start countdown and so I ended up with a false start! Because of this I didn't dare enter the pits and decided I'd have to try and make my tyres last, the final lap was tricky with bald front tyres!
The exact same thing happened on race 2 with the countdown stopping at 17 secs, again I figured a pit stop wouldn't be a good idea as I'd probably end up stuck there for ages, I got knocked and spun into the gravel while leading on lap 14 which killed my rear tyres, I had to retire on about lap 24.
Just wanted to explain why I had to leave as it's not something I would normally do, rant over
Don't know what the deal was with that. I reset my modem just before coming on. Speed was over 20mbps up and over 3mbps down. I plugged the moden directly into the PS3. Nat was 1. Doesn't get any better than that. Do I need to log out and clear after each race? Maybe. Tomorrow I won't log out between 1 & 2 and will log out between 2 & 3 and see how it goes. Sorry that you had such issues. Enjoyed having you race with us! We need good drivers!

Scratch that, tomorrow is a no-go for me. Looking forward to the historic next month.
Was tremendous fun last night, had to bail last night, was absolutely shattered.
Will be about this afternoon/evenig though for more chaos.
Grand Valley was great fun, apart from my iunability to stay on the track
It was probably a one time thing, I've seen it happen occasionaly in other series also. I'm sure you know this already, but make sure you have mics turned off in your lobby options and set race quality to "standard". This won't affect the racing and will help for anyone with a marginal connection (not all these problems are related to the host).
Other than the connection issues, I thought the racing was great, it was very clean racing and very enjoyable.
BTW, count me in for today.
Can we run the Rome race first? That would eliminate the problems with qualifying on the Ring.
