Im going to the US Grand Prix

We expect photos!!!

If you have a digital camera, I'd love to see some shots around the venue there - we all know the interior from the GP and Indy 500 coverage, but I'd like to see some of the activity outside the circuit.

My Dad owns a Digital.............I wanna Get Jaun Pablo Montoya Autograph.............I just hope he got some Garage tickets.....I'll bring back as many photos as i can...........

Hold on a minute :rscared: You put up that thread about F1 not being worth watching

What the 🤬? One minute you like it the next you don't, make your mind up will you....

So now that your going F1 does become worth watching? :chkflag:

I'm going too, and I'm taking along some serious digital photography buffs. I'll put in your request - but be warned - several hundred photos will be the result! :P

Powerman, take a look at my trip report from last year's GP to give you a good idea of what to expect. And, if you find the track workers in a good mood, they will let you walk out onto the track!

Good bet for a hotel: The LaQuinta Inn on Shadeland Avenue in Indianapolis- just a few blocks from 16th street, if you go over to 16th street it will take you straight down to the track. Just an idea.

Jordan then i'll expect you to be there
Oh, you don't have to worry about that - I'll be there!

If you'd like to stay with the Williams F1 team, check out the Radisson. Williams team members and vehicles were everwhere - even a mock-up of one of their cars was in the lobby! That's where I stayed last year, and it's a good bet I'll be staying there again.

Good luck with trying to get action pictures with a digital camara. I tried it at the Montreal grand prix and got a few good shots at the hairpin but all the rest were blurs.

The trick is to pan, and don't use the LCD screen, but instead use the viewfinder. Also, try tracking the cars a lot before you start taking pictures - that way your body will loosen up properly, and you'll get a feel for the speed of the cars.

I am also going this year.

Went last year for my first time. All I can say is .... Incredible!!!!!!! Three of us are going this year instead of two last year. Plus this year we have a camper and everything. We pitched tents last year in the 500 acre field about 1/2 mile from the track. It was great being that close to the track, but very chilly. :)

Took a kind of crappy digi cam last year, but still got some great shots. Need to try and find a better one for this year.

I cannot wait, it is going to rock!

Yes, I remember looking at your pictures - they are great! Where are you sitting this year? From the looks of things I'll be in the same location at the first turn, where you were last year.

You are sitting in or around H? You will love that location. Lap 1, turn 1 is something else. :) This year we are sitting in the S.E. Vista.

Yep, right in the left-center of H, closest to the corner. :D
