"Beautiful social worker"

Damn, it wouldn't have been so bad if she was ugly..... but she was beautiful!!!???

But at least (or at the very least, in part) the Daily Mail is trying to sensationalise for the sake of profit. Perhaps more than in most threads, people seem to go the reach conclusion, then find evidence to support conclusion route in here. It frankly becomes quite difficult to take either side of the argument seriously.

Here's why you're going to lose this argument: you have to prove that all 1490 knowingly and deliberately lied; you have to prove the worst in all of them. I, on the other hand, simply need to demonstrate that one of them was acting in good faith - even if the other 1399 were not - thereby disproving your argument.

Perhaps we should be more concerned about the 90 people that went missing.

So they are just innocent children who forgot their age. I wonder how many of them guessed their ages wrong on the high side vs. the low side. You'd think it would be a roughly 50/50 split right if it's all innocent and nothing nefarious is going on.

I cannot confirm the translation of this video because I don't speak German. If any German speakers can confirm the translation that would be great.

Last Thursday a worried grandfather voiced his concerns about the increasing incidents of sexual harassment of young girls on their way to school by migrants in a meeting in the German town of Bad Schlema. His own granddaughter has been victim of sexual harassment and he fears it will be much worse when girls will wear less clothing in the summer or dress for physical education. The mayor's reply angered the over 100 citizens who were present: "It's simple, don't provoke them and don't walk in these areas."
The crowd went furious, some mocked the absurdity of not being able to walk to school in your own town, some demanded he step down immediately. Later the situation escalated and the Mayor threatened to call the police and clear the room because of incitement of hatred (sources below).

He said it's "technically not necessary to walk near the refugee shelters, there are alternative routes."

If that's true (again) German politicians are seriously out of touch with reality.

If they can't behave or adapt, kick them out.
No no Dennisch, we should first reflect about our own tendencies to behave badly. After that we should try to adapt to them and not provoke. Best way to do that in case of young girls getting sexually harassed is by having them wear one of these:

Can you imagine the uproar if a woman, during a sexual assault trial, was told that she should have not provoked her attacker or walked through a certain area of town? I thought we left that attitude behind 50 years ago.

Caveat: I don't speak German, I'm basing my response off of the provided translation.

Double post, but I feel like this is an ample time to bump.

"But her trials are not yet over. Rukundo told the ABC she’s gotten backlash from Melbourne’s Congolese community for reporting Kalala to the police. Someone left threatening messages for her, and she returned home one day to find her back door broken. She now has eight children to raise alone and has asked the Department of Human Services to help her find a new place to live."

Simple question: What the 🤬 is wrong with that community, and why are the members allowed to act that way? It also makes you wonder if there's other immigrant communities that would do the same thing. :banghead:

...In the above link I couldn't help but  at the part where the hubby screamed "I'm sorry for everything!!" - right below it was a link for another news, with this headline: Italian actor dead after hanging scene turns horribly real.

I thought the hubby was responsible for that too!!

Apologies for my morbid sense of humor. I'll leave now...

They're not, it's against the law.

What a strangely selective wondering... there aren't any communities that would do this. You're confusing communities with bad people, I think.

Don't accept them in the first place.
How can you not accept them on the basis of what they might do? Or are you just suggesting that there should be a blanket ban on refugees entering the country?

You know what? It doesn't matter - you can assume guilt or you can refuse to help those to need it; either makes you a pretty awful person. You're willing to sacrifice the liberty and wellbeing of others for the sake of protecting your own way of life.
