That's a strange website, an "African Refugee Charity" operating out of Senegal and a tumbledown office front in Hatton Garden. Maybe there's truth in the story but there doesn't seem to be much substance in their front.

In any case, threatening to drown your children in order to get access to Europe should be frowned upon even more.

I'm immediately reminded of the "Children Overboard" scandal, where politicians decried refugees threatening to throw their children overboard to force a navy patrol boat to pick them up ... until it was revealed that their ship was in distress, the navy knew it and was moving to their aid, and they were not threatening to throw their children overboard, but holding them out so that they could be rescued first.

Interestingly it seems the Monica was declared unfit and its destruction was ordered shortly after. Propaganda, I know

I actually remember the incident but hadn't remembered the name/flag of the ship - a state of emergency was declared for the influx of around 950 people from the boat. It's thought that each had paid around $4000 dollars for the journey.

I'm suggesting that economic migrants were not informed well enough, they fell for some fairytale about EU, you can see it from those thousands of "poor refugees" jumping on the plane and returning home. What Tusk is saying now should be told right from the beginning and loud. I remember quite good how western Europe was slow to acknowledge there is majority of economic migrants in refugee stream, some are in denial to this day.

"60 Minutes" isn't a news programme, and nothing they make could reasonably be called a documentary. They're a glorified tabloid show with an obvious agenda. I promise you that if they got in trouble, it's because they actively went looking for it - they're clearly trying to depict Sweden as being fundamentally broken by their liberal policies and reaffirm our punitive approach as the only sensible one.
