I agree with McSoap. Cr 150,000 transfer (or 100?) like in GT4 would be nice but the whole collection is too much to me.

Oh ****. Usually the minority, I'm with the first two replies. There are some compromises that can be made though, like we get to choose a few cars under certain circumstances. Limit the total/individual price of what you're allowed to choose.

Id also like a fresh start, 99% of the time I buy a new car for TT's and seasonals mostly just to spend some credits.

If I was able to be in the position I am now (1,522 cars) at the start of GT6 Id be bored within no time.

i think that if you played GT5 you should maybe get like a 10'000$ bonus of in game credits, or something along those lines

This has never been in a previous GT game (Full garage import) and I don't expect it to be in GT6, although some sort of carry over (Bit of money, handful of cars) will probably feature.

Call it a "GT Franchise Loyalty Bonus", make it either a credit limit or certain cars, based on your GT5 save's progress, and make it optional, so users can turn it down as they see fit.

Done!

Im not sure but I think you can refuse the gift in forza horizon for having a forza 4 save so it would have happened before.

Because ''Fresh start'' means ''Starting with nothing''.

And well, i'm undecided. There are pro and cons. I just don't know which has the most yet.
From the outside, it looks better than what the long run will give you. I'd like to say to give people the option, but it's one of those things. Like, give people the option to drive any car they want in Arcade Mode. Sounds unconventional to do that, so it's just an example. A compromise to this thread would be to let us transfer our tuning settings and other related options for when we buy a car in GT6 that we had in GT5.

That doesn't help.

> I want to start with nothing

> GT6 has import GT5 garage option

> I select do not import

> I start GT6 with nothing

Leaving out import has more cons. Because it's the only one with cons.

ohhhhhhhh man tough, the online will be full of all those x1s wont they? (I hope they exclude the x__ for GT6, fingers crossed!) i like the challenge but all my hard work down the tubes? no way, jose

If PD are continuing with the XP system, then maybe the GT5 cars could only become available once you reach the cars experience level. You would have x amount of free car tickets to transfer your favourite cars and the rest of your cars will cost half of their original value. DLC, Chromeline and Stealth cars should be free to transfer.

I was thinking along the lines of this. Only enabled if you have reached a certain level or have enough experience points. And maybe cost the player some credits .

I think there is something to be said for the Special edition cars people paid extra to get like the stealth cars getting transfered but not the others in my opinion.

Those were payed for for use in GT5.

As for these restrictions on importing cars, what do they do that makes them important at all?

Why is making it so that you need to be level 35 in GT6 to bring over a level 35 car you already acquired by reaching level 35 in GT5 so much better than just being able to use the car from the beginning?

Why would someone who wants to start with a blank file want that?

Why would someone who wants to start with things from GT5 want that?

So do I, but buying something in an old game does not guarantee anything in a newer game.

I'd also find it ironic if people found nothing wrong with purchased DLC cars being brought over to the new game, but not regular cars.

No No No No No No No No No.

This isn't a stupid Pokemon game, where you can only trade if you have reached a certain point in the game. If PD does anything like they did with GT5 for experience levels dictating what cars you can buy/trade/transfer even if you have the money, they won't have to worry about whether people want the option or not because they clearly won't have learned a damn thing about the backlash against the level system in GT5 and people won't bother with the game at all after the first couple of hours.

Exactly. Levels for cars is a completely ridiculous idea that bears no similarity to the real world. Licenses, yes. XP Level systems, no.

That's why I said 'If'.

Then why are you against it?
It's pretty obvious why...

I would like a fresh start. No credits or cars or nothing from GT5 as a bonus.

I like building myself up from nothing in games like the Gran Turismo series.

I already mentioned the problem there, that doesn't give you a reason to be against having the option to import everything as having the option will not influence you in any way.

Yes it gives me a reason.

Like with GT5, I would like GT6 to be a fresh start, where everyone starts equally with barely nothing but maybe 20.000 credits, like in GT5.

Notice here, I, as in me, would like.... My opinion.

Will it be an option?
Who's for it, and who's against it?
The OP asked, and I gave my opinion. Simple as that.

You disagreeing with me doesn't justify you giving me a headache with this 'doesn't give you a reason' rubbish.

We all have different opinions.

But as far as my opinion matters, I have all the reason in the world to be against the import of 'stuff' from GT5.

Now cheer up...
