I hope you don't mind getting a bit boring but recently i went with my dad to check out a Toyota Innova for my uncle to buy and as i was going there, i heard that Toyota dealership here are celebrating the 50th anniversary of Toyota over here (We got Toyota later than any other region nearby) and were showing some of it's old classic cars so i said why not go there and check it out?
I'm going to start with the least interesting car IMO but it's one of my dad's "childhood" memories.
Toyota Cressida (The 1980 and 1984 model)
The Cressida is what considered here the Predecessor of Camry XV10 since we didn't get any Camry's until Toyota stopped the Cressida in 1992 and gave us the Australian Camry XV10 all the way to this very day (until
this happens). Used to be really popular here and my dad's first car was the 1983 model so he was happy to see this one in clean condition. Nothing more to say really.
Moving on, we got the 1964 Toyota Stout:
(Notice the MPH gauge? US spec anyone?)
Now i know that this truck exist before but...uhhh i barely hear about it at all so i guess i would let that History display talk to you.
Ah now it's time to move into my possibly one of my most favorite generation of Land Cruiser's:
FJ40
And
1988 Toyota Land Cruiser J60
This is one of my Guilty Pleasures, i always dreamed about driving the FJ40 to just go off roading and explore the dunes with other people. I find this truck to be awesome, no wonder why Land Cruiser's are such a popular name here. It's a shame that nowadays, it's nothing more than a shopping & city living driven by an average city boy like every other SUV out there right now.
The J60? Sure, not bad at all IMO but it doesn't stand out as much as the older FJ. Gotta point out that this is a USDM model oddly, the FJ40 on the other hand isn't.
I will edit these post later since it's 5:49 and i haven't slept yet so in the meanwhile, enjoy these images:
