I suppose if you want something high-end that you don't have to worry about beating on, a kit car is the way to go...

I personally don't like replicas but it looks good. As for the sound, they could've gone with 180 degree headers to make it scream a bit more. At least it'll sound like a flat crank or a V12.

I mentioned in another thread that I like Porsche 911s for having a consistent design language. One of the reasons is actually the face they have, in spite of how serious this car can be; they always seem happy. Like the car is delighted to see you and awaits to be driven. I think it makes for a nice constrast to the cars designed today with angrier faces.

I agree with you. It's too bad many sports cars lack that "innocent look". I think it adds a lot of character to the car. One of the best examples of a jolly, happy looking sport car would have to be the Austin Healey Sprite.

The car looks so excited to go for a ride!

Such a shame the 124 never got as much love as its Japanese counterpart. They've pulled both the Fiat and Abarth versions from the UK market now.
Same thing goes with the new Z4 and Supra. In my opinion, the BMW is just as nice as the Supra (cause they're virtually the same) yet not many really seem to like the BMW.

I've always been a massive fan of the 911, but I will say that to me the newer models are starting to get ugly with the extra details being stuck in. They should keep it simple and timeless.

I'm hoping to get into Porsche ownership in three years or so, though, once some other things I've got going on are taken care of. I've been in love with the Cayman's styling since that car first launched, so a 987.2 S/manual built to GT4/GT3 RS-like specs is a dream project of mine - especially since NA1/2 NSX prices have gotten stupid, I figure the Cayman makes for a damn fine substitute.

I personally like the color, wheels, and I think the height is okay. I'm really not a fan of the headlights though.
Also, the negative camber bothers me a bit.
