I absolutely agree. I certainly love the video game-esque effect of the HDR pictures, adds an unreal effect that doesn't get old, but good old quality photography is hard to beat. Here's my current background. This is a quality SLR picture!
The picture's huge, BTW.

Here's a couple others from the same shoot. Sorry if the subject matter doesn't interest you, I'm a bit of a nutswinger. :P

I'm sure the thing has far and away enough torque to perform such a ludicrous act, but wouldn't the million or so ASC programs nanny the car back to safety (not knowing how easy or hard it may be to disable such systems)?

I remember that C/D tested a SLK not too long ago and found a way to disable TCS & all by setting the car up for dyno testing. Maybe the same thing is going on here.

Cool shots, though.

Hey guys check out my car domain page, link in sig, and tell me what ya think.
From his profile:
•$40 eGay exhaust tip
•Type-R Floor Mats
•White Guage Overlays
•Racing Pedels (Red/"Carbon Giber")
•Brand new racing steering wheel

Future plans:
•Replica Mugen Bodykit - $675 if it goes through
•Lambo door kit - $650
•Z3 Style Fenders - $300
•CHROME FENDER TRIM FTW!

And you're getting struts and coilovers?
•Tokico Struts - $250
•Ground Control coilovers - $320

Sigh...

Well, technically, if you're going with Ground Controls, you have no choice, since they're just sleeves... quality sleeves, but sleeves nonetheless.

What Troux is trying to say is that these mods are... erm, how to put it without being rude... useless. There's not much to do to a 1991 Prelude from the get go, and putting an ebay intake, coilovers and indiglo gauges on it won't help... especially since it's an automatic.

I'd save my money and invest it on something else, if I were you.

The main reason I have this car IS because there isn't much to do to it, therefor requiring mysel to custom make and or look around for parts. Unlike most people that go out, buy a civic, pick up a magazine and everything is right there. Now where's the fun in that?

That intake...not eGay, sorry to say. It's an LSD Intake that is made specificly for my car.

Those are not indiglo guages either, they are white overlays. No one makes indiglo guages for my car.

And about the whole tokico's/ground controls, I don't see why this would be "pointless", the struts replace the ****ty stock ones, the ground controls allow me to drop my car from the stock heigt to 3.5"...pointless you say? My car has 4WS (Four Wheel Steering), and tokico/GC is the best (and only) setup that will work with 4WS.

Save my money and invest in somethin else huh? Naw, i'm just fine with my lude.

Just so you know, racing pedals, exhaust tips, floor mats and genuine carbon fibre bezels aren't really looked at as proper modifications around these here parts, and will most likely be met with the kind of response troux and Fred made. It's your car, and you can do whatever you want with it, but if you're after approval or OMG THATS SO COOL, this is likely not the place.

I wasn't looking for "OMG THATS SO COOL", cause it's not, those parts anyone can buy for any cars. I'm just simply showing you guys my car, if you like it, sweet, if not then oh well but I don't like to be ragged on.

So you ask people what they think of your car and consider it getting ragged on if they don't like it? That is sooo BlazinXtreme. Or BX. Or whatever his name was in the end.:P

Anyways,

Troux, you're REALLY killing the range of the image, with those pictures. HDR pictures are supposed to bring out color range of not just the object in the foreground, but in the background as well. Your clouds look entirely 1 dimensional, and need to be redone.

I didn't do those. It was some guy's first shot at it. He's obviously not gotten the hang of it yet, but it still looks cool. I'd say the clouds look 2-dimensional, though.

Filters decrease air flow, and when your drag racing with a turbo set up that large, you need all the air you can get.
