if it would have bit more sleeper attitude and street-legal looks, that would be the sickest aircooled 911 period.
 
the mk1 and mk2 escorts are very nice, but the cage in the clio would kill the driver in a crash one of the worst "show cages" i've ever seen

Errm, not being funny but, how can you know just by looking at photos if the cage in the clio would kill the driver. If anything it'd be pretty tough stuff, strengthening the car and reducing the risk of injury. (In a roll anyway, which is exactly what they're made for)

What would class as a "show cage"?
