Go ahead and hate, I can't hear you over the sound of how awesome the stance of this thing is.

No clue on the wheel specs, because "silentdancer" doesn't give out his specs, until he sells said wheels... Which, from what I saw on S2ki, is about every 3 weeks or so.

Car's awesome right now, but it was even better when it was black, he had it painted in that colour recently.

Crap, I just came. Twice. Just remembering how it looked in black.

Offset isn't everything. Stance is everything. That S2K is pretty hawt.

Oh lordy, I hope no-one finds out what offset my wheels are. Then someone's car might look similar to mine.
Phew, close run thing that. Good thing no-one else can buy new Work Meisters. And specify the size, width and offset. I'd be really worried if people could do that...

I could understand race builders keeping their secrets from competition or other people who would keep trade secrets so their engine is a bit more powerful or stronger etc but not letting people know about the specs of his wheels?

Whinge over.

I can only wish my S2k looked that hard right now... I'll get it there eventually, but right now, it might as well be a sedan/rock crawler compared to that thing.

May I ask why you don't like it? Because I sure can't see anything wrong, maybe if the front splitter wasn't painted the same as the body, but that's just a minor thing.

1.) The tyres are stretched to the rims to make those wheels fit with all that lowering. Sure, it does fill the arches but this kind of style just doesn't fit this car IMHO.

2.) Color. Any other would make it look better.

3.) It's so low that it's most certainly impractical in any city that has either speed bumps or bad roads.

But that guy drives it mostly daily around Los Angeles...

Well, looks like you failed there, Leo.

The color is fine, and I could think of worse colors for it. As for the wheels and tires, first time I've seen this on a car that is NOT a rusting VW/Nissan hunk of crap, and I kind of like it.

And Edit for a 7

The "stance" is nothing when you've got crap wheels, like all those Civics riding a few inches off the ground on steelies. You need wheels to pull it off.

If you widened those, calculated offset and width well, you'd be able to pull off a nice stance. Put one of the stock steelies from a pretty big car on a small one, crap wheels but suddenly they fill the arches. Question is, are ugly designed wheels crap wheels? Or are wheels with a bad fitment crap wheels? The latter I agree to.

That S2000 is sexy. As hell.. The E38 too.

Must admit, I'm not too keen on that S2K either. The colour I can live with, the subtle bodykit too, but it looks daft on those wheels. I know! Let's ruin half the appeal of a sports car by making it terrible to drive...

Wondering if the S2K's on air. Otherwise, I'm amazed the wheel rim and wheel arch aren't more chipped from impacts.

And what's this "Stance" you're talking about? The car looks broken, like the springs snapped.

I would guess he has some adjustable setup. And that could explain the camber. And if he didn't, I'm sure he would have some serious fender damage to deal with as soon as he hit so much as a crack in the pavement.

But like the VW theme, I can see where somebody might think it's cool to have the stretched wheels, poke and slammed ride, but it's not for me.

I quite like the colour of the S2K, and the bodywork would look good too minus the stupid front splitter. But the wheels are just plain wrong... even from an asthetic point of view, never mind how rubbish it must drive.

The rims have too much offset and the tyres are too stretched. As a result of the off set, he's having to run stupid amounts of negative camber to stop the tyre fouling the arch as the (limited) suspension compresses.

It will chew up rear tyres and drive like an absolute dog... for example, imagine how bad the steering will be now the geometry has been so radically altered.
