Yay, something different!
reventón;3375434look at the parts. Us owner seem to all go for the same manufacturers when modifying the exterior. The japanese do a good job at mix-and-matching their aeros.
This is worse than sticking a V8 inside a Miata. Same idea + wrong wheel drive = fail.

What wheels are they on the Civic? They sooo pweeety.
Stuffing a needlessly large and heavy engine into a car.why? or rather, how?
I bet it's no heavier than a K-series with a full rig of turbo plumbing. Plus, those engines make 300 hp in Acura guise without breaking a sweat. Get a set of custom headers made, and all those other flow parts, I bet you'd easily be looking at 350 hp, plus huge torque. And without a hint of lag. Tromp on the gas at 2000 rpm and you're off like a rocket. Sounds like a fantastic idea to me!Stuffing a needlessly large and heavy engine into a car.
That car is the answer to the question "What is the worst possible way to make this Civic faster in a straight line?"
I know which cars you're talking about, but I don't have the pics of them. And I've got a request. A number of months ago, someone posted a pair of rat-rod-styled 240SXs, from California I think. They were all beat up and rusted, but total sleepers at the same time. I've tried searching, but just can't come up with them. Any helpers?
Ok, so lets say it does actually weigh no more than a K series with a full rig of turbo plumbing, (which I highly doubt) which one of those 2 will put out more power. A mild K-series build using various stock pieces can net 250whp pretty easy. Slap a turbo on there and even a small one should easily push 350-400whp.I bet it's no heavier than a K-series with a full rig of turbo plumbing. I really think this thread should be changed to Modified Cars or something, as that is what it pretty much has gotten to. There are a couple little specialty threads for BMW and Porsche, but this is always a nice little corner to check out trendy tuned vehicles, regardless of origin. I wouldn't like seeing it being forced into all sorts of rules.

Then people try and throw in the money issue. If he's got the money and skill to stick a v6 in there before Hasport even made mounts for that, then he's got enough money to stick a K-series in there. In the end it would run better anyway.
Doesn't say anywhere that cars posted have to be from non-US builders.I think these threads started as being about imports to the US.
Like Beerz's Vipers. It made me make a funny face, but then I realized he's British. Hmm. Either way, they're badass.
I'd support this idea. I mean - I deliberately don't post anything from the UK or USA in this thread as a large proportion of the user base of this site would then think "but they aren't imports", but then I do post a number of different European cars here and yet we have members from all over Europe for whom they aren't really imports. If you live in Germany then a BMW is a domestic, not an import!
