I fail to see the "Owned" it was a stupid immature response...

You arguing about pixels is stupid response,as i have said in the post before with also heap of pics, sorry if something is a repost.
Why don't you read the whole thread again, and find some more?

Those Bosozoku cars are a laugh.. :) What is that inspired from?? Anime or something? White S2k is nice and clean as well.. 👍

Off-topic: I keep seeing more and more people with an avatar of themselves with sunglasses all of a sudden... is there a reason for this or something behind it that I missed?? :D

Pure coincidence.

Srsly.

OK... after I posted that I saw numerous new ones :) Even one who put the glasses on his dog instead of himself :D But hey, if its conicidence... then we'll leave it at that.... 👍

Inspired in part by my recent test drive - some Alfas:

Alfas are definately nice cars... That new 147 looks sweet just like that... Oh and nice sunglasses on your avatar as well... :sly: everywhere I look I see sunglasses nowadays??!! :dopey::dopey:

Interesting, lol. I don't know what it's doing to his frame, but I bet his spring rates are more than up to the task. I wouldn't doubt he actually raised the rear up a bit to help hold the weight. But that bike is only like 450 pounds, and the trailer can't be but another 100. And then of course the car is only carrying around half that.
I was referring to the transmission.

The Silhouette (a more correct term, 4th Gen. Group 5) cars' exteriors are built with performance in mind, and the bodykits are used for better aerodynamics.

Boso-crap only does it because they think they're cool. In my eyes, Bosozuku cars, if they are indeed doing it to be like Group 5 cars, are the equivalent of hard-parkers still doing it wrong, & ricers.

Hilarious that manufacturers are building better kits for their cars than a lot of tuners.

Yup. You can usually rely on a manufacturer with a glimmer of sense to produce tasteful bits unlike the tat offered by many companies. Obviously I'm speaking with reference to bodykits only here. With Alfas in particular there are a few companies who do very good performance mods, but I haven't yet seen a body styling package I prefer to their factory options.

I was referring to the transmission.

Probably a lot less punishing to the transmission than what's doled out by quick driving...

The transmission is designed to pull the car's weight under any sort of driving, and even still, the only things that would really be stressed in that situation are the synchronizers from quick, hard shifts.

Pulling something directly puts more stress on the gears themselves both in acceleration and deceleration.

We all mod our cars with inspiration from race cars and so on because we think it looks cool. Your "upcoming A-spec kit" was probably not just made for looks in the first place, but just admit you do it because you think it looks good :)

Besides I really doubt any of them are doing it to be like these "group 5" cars, you get inspiration from race cars then it turns into the game (cat-killers and flares in the 90s :))

Still, it's not a particularly heavy thing to tow, and I doubt the driver thrashes it too much whilst he's towing. I still doubt the transmission gets as much punishment by towing a sports bike occasionally (and a light one at that) as it does when it's being thrashed.

Also, I'm not Keef ;) Somehow managed to quote Keef's post and my text...

Oh, and on the Bosozuku stuff, don't we now have a thread to discuss that kind of thing? What happened to this thread being for pics?...

You're right, I'm getting the A-Spec kit because it looks good. But I don't mod my car because I want mine to look like a race car. I mod my car so it can perform like a race car. That's why I'm already getting a new strut & rear sway bar next month.

I honestly don't know if Bosozuku cars do try to be like Group 5 cars or not, but if they do, they're nothing but ricers to me, and we have a thread for ricers.

I used to think boso cars were interesting up until I saw them in person in Japan. The guys driving them and lusting after them, on the whole seemed to be yanki and bosozuku wannabes; Japan's equivalent to chavs, and the culture is equivalent! Worse is the fact that their culture is based around being as obnoxious as possible, hence the silly looks and straight pipes.

Interestingly, the Silvia Super Silhouette at least isn't designed with actual aerodynamics testing; In an Option Video one of the Nismo guys who originally worked on them admitted that they added external parts which simply looked like they might help the car go faster. Thus Boso cars are even more silly to copy them!

Anyway, back on topic, I'm in an NSX mood, and here are some I saw in Japan:

I love the Japanese's creativity in the NSX scene. Nothing against the US owners, but the Japanese are definitely more unique with their NSX's, imo.

They look pretty similar to me, I can't see a ton of creativity there, heck I think they pretty much all have the same spoiler.

Look at the parts. US owner seem to all go for the same manufacturers when modifying the exterior. The Japanese do a good job at mix-and-matching their aeros.

A lot of people here, even entire companies seem to have the mindset that any exterior tuning past a lip and some wheels is rice, even when going as far as all out time attack cars. XS Engineering R32 anyone? A wing and some canards and that's all.

There's a difference between a body kit and an aero kit, as shown here.👍

I've always had a soft spot, which becomes a hard spot, for NSX's. Great looking and performing cars and thanks to their styling, its hard to make one unattractive.

Joey - You seriously can't tell those apart? Each one looked completely different to me and I'm legally blind in one eye!

They are different but all done in the same style, meh whatever. I'm not a big fan of the JGTC style I guess.

Hasport now makes an engine mount kit to fit a J-series V6 in 92-95 Civics and 94-01 Integras. This car was custom built though before that kit came out.
