Nice to see the BTCC accord opened up a little for viewing, what happened to the cooling system?

I never noticed that it didn't have one! Nor the fact (though it's pretty obvious) that the airbox is missing.

I suspect it normally looks more similar to the JTCC Accord prepared by Mugen:

You can see the radiator under the airbox in that pic.

^^ Indeed. 👍

Do they suffer from dodgy mods? I know there are a few suspect bodykits available out there for them but I wasn't aware that they suffered from the rice-effect.
Over here many of them do, unfortunately.
Most of the ones I see have owners that think they look oh so much better with a stupid generic aftermarket lip/bumper that has nothing to do with the car's beautiful design, big-ass wing (not a spoiler, I'm talking F1-style wings literally), and bling rims that make baby jesus cry.

Here's an example of the lips/bumpers I'm talking about:

And now for something of more taste:

Alfa 156 GTA = one of the best looking saloons ever.

...and the 156 GTA Sportswagen = one of the best looking estate cars ever.

And more Alfa goodness, in the form of the 156 GTA-AM by British Alfa tuner Autodelta (same company as the Brera Spider and 159 that Beerz posted above, too):

Yes, that does say "3.7" on the number plate...

WHAT?!...

When? Where?
Oops. Portuguese. Your tan should've been obvious to me.

And also, is it just me, or is this thing just too cool for school? Dude needs to lose the KDs though. If he ever plans on driving in the rain he's going to kill himself, and there are now tires that do everything better anyway. Maybe it's an old picture.
