They didn't steal anything. They aren't trying to sell it to you as the real deal. They're making a similar version of the same product and selling it to you at a fraction of the cost. Its a free market.

Your argument is like saying that mac stole the idea for the computer or that the camaro is just a knock off of a mustang.

*cough* Can we get back to car pictures? If you want to bitch about rims create a thread.

Anyways a fully tracked and street driven JCW Cooper S.

Good to see a car that was designed to be a track machine actually being used.

What's wrong with FWD? Most JCW's have LSD in them and they handle quite awesome on a track.

They aren't trying to sell it as the real deal, but they are trying to sell you the part as if it's their own design.

The example with the computer doesn't work. There are plenty of different computers, as well as many different wheels. We're not saying they stole the idea of the wheel, just that they're producing a lower quality copy of a design, and passing it off as their own idea.

The Camaro and Mustang comparison just doesn't work, I don't know how you came up with that one.

everything is wrong with fwd.

 Some great insightful thought there.

I forgot though, I posting something on GTP, it has to be a barely modified, RWD, Japanese car with a manual transmission.

Carry on.

Wow.

Time_Attack, that couldn't be more narrow-sighted if you tried...

Wasn't initially sold on the Minis, but the black/black combo really got me, there.

those are the rules yes.

Just my opinion. I've owned several civics and never want to own another fwd car again.

That would explain it. It would even more if they were Buicks...

Still, there ARE some brilliant Front-drive cars out there. Some ARE Hondas...of which only one is sold here.

BTCC/WTCC is a good example of the potential of an FWD drivetrain but of course these are just sprint races where tire wear isnt really a factor. Not to mention these are more "road car-based" race cars as opposed to dtm and super gt. and at the level of a "street" car there are plenty of example of ff cars being just as quick if not quicker as an fr car of equal weight and power but in the end you can only take physics so far with the given rules restrictions of a race series.

QFT. This is a picture thread.

Keep posting the Minis Joey, it's good to have some variety here, I'm digging the black Cooper S on CCWs.

However, in saying that, the only pics I have to contribute fall under the mildly modded, RWD category but at least they're old school.

Edit: ARGH. Please, take the pics of that NSX away. Or put them in the questionable mods thread so at least we are expecting to see that kind of monstrosity.

EDIT: Whatever, screw it, I don't feel like continuing this.

Not sure I like the rear end on that NSX, but the front looks good.

The paint on that SC300 looks, well, American. I like the rest of the car though. Also, thanks for providing more pics of that black S14, I had a few that I got from Risky Devil, but that was it.

The SC reminds me a bit of Ueno's Soarer, at different points of its existence, but all put together in one car.

Disappointing. It's been a while since we had any FWD-bashing. I'd assumed those people had given up and left.

Ah well, sod it. A FWD, and one we don't see that often - the Mitsubishi Mirage:

And a rallyist:

And of course, we saw that shape Mirage as the Proton Coupe too.
