Just complete win in this post and yet they aren't modified except the 964 - and quoted because, quite frankly, they are awesome. Lovin' the blue 2.7. Those Fuchs look wider at the back though - are you sure it maybe isn't a road legalised 2.8RSR? Those are supposed to be an even more involving drive than the 2.7RS.

The only bad thing about it is that he's trying to pass off Rotas as actual Volks... 👎

Yes, I think it is a RSR - the rears do look wide for an RS and my old eyes aren't sure, but I think I can see RSR on the ducktail.

Likely to be one of 2 things... 1) a 'recreation' or 2) one of the original RSR road cars (Porsche built 109 RSRs, of which 60 were road versions)... would be nice to think the latter :)

Regarding modifying Porsches in general... personally, I think it's almost impossible to modify GT3's & RS's and make them better.

What do you do to them? Give them more power? Lower them? add bigger wheels? The engines are already pushing >100bhp/litre without forced induction, and the suspension and wheels are optimised for performance... sticking 20's on them and dropping them a couple of inches is likely to make them handle worse on the road. You could upgrade the factory fit components I supose - better quality dampers, better quality rotors/calipers, and for the GT2/Turbo there are some top quality power upgrades available (DMR for example) but that's about it as far as I concerned.

The stuff Porsche tuning companies turn out is generally hiddeous IMO... 9ff, Ruf, Techart etc.

+1. In my opinion the factory already produces all the Porsches you could ever want, certainly with regard to 911s. Theres one for virtually every application, and you couldn't take a single model and improve on it too much one way without spoiling it in another. And it'd be pointless taking say, a base 997 Carrera and modifying it, as that's why you have the S. Or the 4S. Or the GT3. Or the GT3 RS. Or the Turbo. Or the GT2. ...etc.

That's when you need to go all out with the Turbo or GT2 models. This right here is pushing for 800whp, and recently ran at the Texas Mile.

Problem with the GT3 RS' cars though, seem to be Porsche already doing almost everything imaginable. Performance mods are pretty few, it seems. But, the ones available still add some kick.

SharkWerks hasn't said what kind of power or torque has been made, except that none has been lost & that this exhaust shaves 18lbs.

I like the top S2000, but not keen on the one with Prodrive wheels. Just looks a bit messy.

did anyone see the m3 i posted?

Yes. I took a look at it, but didn't feel the need to comment as I didn't have much to say on it. I think it's been posted before in this thread anyway, but I didn't have much to say about it then either. Mainly, I'm of the old-fashioned opinion that cars becoming as rare as an E30 M3 shouldn't be buggered about with and have different engines swapped into them.

Just a general tip too - generally you can assume that if nobody has commented on something, then they probably weren't interested enough to comment on it. You've no need to post asking if people saw it - it's better accepting that people haven't commented, and perhaps post more pictures 👍

I do understand that some people may feel the need to have something even faster, though for the street at least I can't really see the point as something like a Turbo is already in the top percentile for fastest road cars and being AWD you can probably use a hell of a lot of that performance too than many supercars. I think I'd be rather chuffed with a Carrera, let alone anything faster...

I suppose it's an appearance thing too. Looks are subjective, but I haven't seen a single tuner-model Porsche that's looked better than the factory cars.

I might burn in hell for this, but..

I think it's pretty cool. Looks like a WRC rep for the road. Though I notice it's a 206 styled to be like the 406 from the TAXI films.

And here's a pic:

Nice mix of pics there 👍 I approve of the immaculate XR3i, you really don't see many in that nick any more. White is the best colour for it too, and I'm glad it has the spotlights.

I like the red Astra DTM too. I seem to remember they were going to produce a limited run of it at one point and then abandoned the idea.

Everything imaginable? What are those catalytic converters doing on there? What's with the big balloon thingies after the cats? What's with the second pipe that wraps around on either side?

It could be more efficient, lighter, and powerful. Not good enough.

Alright, Mini guys, if ya'll keep insisting on getting 22s for your little hatchibacks, then we are content using your leftovers.
