Just re-read the last few pages, how did i miss all this banter:dunce:

I think people are missing the point on the white CSL. I think why that car is so special is the few choice subtle mods as well as the photography.
BBS on bimmers are common but are FAR from played out.
Same goes for Civics, Skylines etc... If it was your hard earned money you wouldn't go out and buy some relatively unattractive wheels just to look different. If you would then you would still be influenced by the crowd, have an ugly car and fail.

Show me 20 different Skylines with "Typical, thick, 5 spoke rims" and I'll show you 100 different BMW's on BBS wheels.

In any case, the M3 looks beautiful, but I'm just saying. You always try to make someone look wrong without any real substance.

~S12~

Sorry for the massive pics, but I didn't upload them myself and didn't want to be bothered with resizing and reuploading, since I'm sure a few people might want to save them.

Making me kind of regret that I didn't buy an S12 I was looking at back in my teens.

As for trying to make something look wrong without any real substance, just look at people complaining about BBS on BMWs. They just work so well, but people will complain they don't look good anymore.

Sure, you can put Kosei K1's on an M3, but those just look out of place, much like how BBS wheels generally look out of place on new-ish Japanese cars.

You're trying to make it sound like BBS are the only wheels out there that look good. There are hundreds of other options out there. Everyone goes with BBS and it makes them look like they have no imagination or creativity.

Wow, what a difficult task you'll have again, considering BBS makes a large portion of BMW's factory wheels.

The rest of your post isn't worth a response. I told you before you're just as good at what you criticize me for & your buddy from the past few pages isn't any different. Done here.

Oh, I know, I like the wheels. I'm one of those people that if I like something, I tend to always like it. I don't start disliking something because it became "played out." If it looks good, it looks good always.

The only instances like that is when something was "meh" before, and I grew to hate it. Like black wheels with polished lips.

The "no real substance" part was completely unrelated to wheels themselves, just something I've noticed.

EDIT:

I'm not talking about factory wheels. And yes, you've "told me" before, and that's as far as you've got. I can think of three examples off the top of my head to support my statement, all in which plenty of evidence, factual, and theoretical data have been given to support one side of the discussion, to which you either continued with an "I'm right, you're wrong" attitude while ignoring what was presented, or simply ignored what was said altogether. Usually, it's the first one, until things start looking bad on your end, and then you switch to the second.

EDIT #2:

So because BBS makes oem bmw wheels that makes it ok to be unoriginal. Thats like saying if rota made wheels for honda it'd be ok to rock those on every civic out there.

Who says, besides you apparently, that your car has to be unique or not? What exactly makes it not ok to be the unoriginal? Because your opinion says so?

Nothing is original anymore to begin with. Whatever you've done, someone did it first. Doesn't make it good or bad.

Seems like I do that and everyone freaks out and takes it the wrong way.
What do you expect? You sit there & say, "Not impressed", "Unoriginal", etc. in response to pictures. Of course you're going to get someone who says the same back....

Holy Christ, I've never seen so many elitist people. Not everyone has the same taste in cars. Get over it.

Those big flat center caps look a bit... odd. I'd put a bmw logo or something to break up the space a bit.
I think I would like it better without the caps at all. Still though, I've always liked solid colors for wheels, rather that any kind of combination of colored/polished lips, whatever.

I really like that white BMW with BBS, just so clean and smart looking. Not the biggest fan of the above BMW though, just looks weird for some reason

Guh, StanceWorx hits another E36 and makes it look like ass.

Yay!

:indiff:
Bah! I think that E36 up there is sweet. I don't recognize those wheels at all, they look totally weird, and I dig the strange color. Car is awesome.
