Euro style maybe? I honestly don't really know.

 I dont think it's Euro style... dont see many ski racks and such on cars here unless they go skiing in the Alps... Euro style is more like what they do in Germany with the old school Golfs, Passats and others...

Here's a good example....

Now I would agree it does look similar, but I think the stuff with the roof racks and other accessories is something else I believe...

The roof racks are part of the whole Stanceworks thing, so maybe that's what you could call it.

It's actually fairly popular in the UK. I think it's a combination of Euro style, which is where the wide wheels, camber and all that sort of stuff started with on VWs, and perhaps a bit of rat and retro thrown in. It's about having cars that look like they're useable, even if the roof rack, window nets and all the other stuff are just for show.

^^^^

Here in Holland I havent seen it at all... and I havent seen it anywhere on TV here either... The car shows Ive been to recently also didnt have any that looked like that... Thats why I asked :) But I could be wrong... The UK tends to catch onto those things faster than us cheese heads in Holland...

You've seen one you've seen them all. Try something different.

Or something better :)

I dunno, taking the middle road and never offending anyone sounds great to me...

(In elementary school kids voice) Yeah! :dopey: Everybody wins!!

Holy Christ, I've never seen so many elitist people. Not everyone has the same taste in cars. Get over it.

People aren't just born with tastes and opinions. Would you say some West Virginian high schooler ricer with a Neon and NOS stickers has developed tastes? Not so long ago I had an 11 year old kid tell me, with all his ballerness, "Yo, why don't you get some rimz!?" I have Watanabes. The vast majority of my tastes I have developed from exposure to performance-related cars. Anything that's properly designed/engineered will probably grow on me. I remember when Spoon first designed that coupe hardtop add-on for the S2000 I hated it. Over time it grew on me and now I love it.

Just throwing these out there...

StanceWorks is just the name of a site where they post cars like that and I think they have a couple of cars of their own.

Its basically become that look. But since you seem to be expert on this topic, do tell me what its proper name is besides borkedworks.

I'm no expert; I just haven't heard/read anyone call it StanceWorks. The only time I've heard StanceWorks used is when someone is talking about the website or whatever.

You don't have to be a bitch about it either.

No need to throw fuel on a fire that's long been extinguished, but hey, you poke and I'll poke back.

That Sunbeam car only has 3 truly Japanese parts on it in the first place... the wing, the brakes, and the wheels. Their suspension kit is just the upper and lower mounts for an Aragosta coilover, so that almost counts. I'm guessing your main point is the wheels, considering this is off the back of the BBS arguments. Well, any other country can do that, too... for instance, if some Americans wanted to throw some Volks on an E92 M3 along with Ohlins coilovers, Brembo brakes, and an APR wing, how would the Japanese guys at Sunbeam be doing it any better?

I only ask because AE Performance in California have done just that:

Build thread
Paul Walker owns it by the way, lol

And Turner Motorsports in Massachusetts have subbed in Forgelines for the Volks and Motons for the Ohlins/Aragostas. Is their build less impressive because it's not Japanese?

I mean, really. "Japan just does it better" is unquantifiable fanboy garbage when it comes to building a car.
