Those are LP560 wheels, right? If by herpes you mean hella contagious, then yes, they're the herp. The new ****. Please tell me they're 5x114, and then tell where where to get them.

When one VW mates with another VW they get them it seems .

And they are Rotiform wheels. They are call "blq" and they run about $300 per rim.

\And I'm pretty sure that second's a Photoshop, only a fool would even consider slamming it that much.

It's on bags or whatever the VW crews is running for pneumatic suspension now. Here's a picture of the wheel fitment.

So they're LP560 knockoffs then. That's cool because I don't want to know what real Lambo wheels would cost lol. It seems the spokes are slightly different though, they're wider and flatter. Still looks great polished I think though, not a big fan of the darker color.

I've never even heard of Rotiform, must be a VW thing. I really like their Mia wheel...until I realized they only come in 19 inch. WTF? I think it'd look awesome on my car, and that price isn't too awful bad.

I love this style of photography (easy to do, but doesn't work for every photo). Just needs an added touch of contrast and it would make a great wallpaper (about which I ask: do you have a larger size Rev?)

If you buy those wheels, I hope you get super-AIDS from them.

Sorry, I do not. I grabbed that straight from the owners thread and that was all that was in there. It would make a cool desktop though.

I don't understand this thread, half the time it's people whinging about "Hardparkers" and then as soon as someone posts a car that gets used and abused everyone complains about the fact it's not concours condition.

Joe, are you trying to tell us something? I've seen a lot of VWs out of you in this thread. MKV or MKVI time?

Also, I used to hate that slammed look of VWs. But I think it's grown on me a little bit lately.

 As much as I'd love a 5 door MKVI GTI with a DSG, I'm not really prepared to drop almost $30,000 on a sport compact.

My next car will be something a bit more sporty then that anyway, and yes I am currently looking since I got the new job.

Good. The MKVI is way overpriced which really takes away the biggest reason to get one. I'm sure you could find a decent MKV for less than $20k though.

To many reliability issues with the MKV's, although the MKVI's probably aren't much better. If I was going to spend money on a VW, I'd almost have to go old school.

That white Mk5 above is the first Mk5 I've genuinely thought looked good. Never been keen on them and still aren't, but that one looks good. That it's a great photo probably helps.

Well when someone posts a race car there is usually some info to accompany it. Was there anything special about it?

It's special in the way that all purpose-built touring cars are special. If it's anything like any of the other touring cars I've looked around, it'll have had the engine turned around it's axis or even repositioned lower to improve the centre of gravity (with engine mounts that are like works of art), straight-cut sequential gearbox, about 300bhp at the wheels from an NA 2-litre with an 8.5k rpm limit.

Wheels will be about 19" on very low profile but pretty wide tyres that will have required the arches to be raised and extended a good few inches inboard. Dampers will be remote resevoir. Suspension will be set up for minimum understeer, i.e. you lift and it spins. The rear wheels on touring cars are pretty much designed to stop the ass scraping against the floor and that's about it. The whole shell will be seam-welded, a full cage welded in, the driver's seat moved backwards and as low as possible, and much of the dashboard will have been moved backward too.

I've posted close-ups of BTCC cars a couple of times, this Supertouring-spec 1994 Mazda 323 and a later S2000-spec DC5 Integra. They're amazing pieces of kit. I remember back in the day that the late-nineties, FWD 300bhp BTCC supertouring cars were apparently quicker around a circuit than the early nineties 400bhp+ AWD DTM cars.

I don't understand people who can't comprehend half the crap they read.
Where was I complaining about it? I simply pointed out that I've seen this car in person and that I have pictures of it.

To be honest, Azuremen was the only one who complained. Dave and I were just mentioning that the owner must have replaced the front bumper, because last time either of us saw the car in person half of the bumper was missing.
