Epic Group 5 320 👍

I would have remolded all the panels in dry CF, myself, but you wouldn't get good delineation around the stamped "F40"... which is probably why they went with wrap.

Or maybe it was just because it would have been massively cheaper? ;)

I thought the standard body was CF, I seem to remember one reviewer taking about how thin the paint was and being able to see the CF weave through it, all to save weight.

A couple of years ago in the Gumball 3000, an F40 lost it's paint becaus of all the sand and dust. Underneath the paint there was alot of white, I haven't seen CF.

There's some aluminum paneling, but for the most part it is yellowish kevlar. Poke around an F40 - it's everywhere. I cannot remember seeing a specific part that looks like the typical black carbonfibre (although it's been a couple years since I've been around one).

A shop stateside made a moulds for an S1 Exige to produce carbon parts, and it was hinted that it cost the investor upwards of 25,000$ for the body alone (also dropped a K24 unit into it, was quite the car). Worth the investment if you're planning on manufacturing the parts for sale, but I'm guessing there are very few F40 owners that would want to take apart their car like that. Maybe a couple campaigning racers, but that's about it.

Thank you for explaining. I hope they won't modify the F40 anymore, it's at it's best stock.

Do you have any pics of that carbon K24 Exige? Sounds pretty awesome!

Buddy of mine just bought an Integra Type-R. Not often do you see them unmolested, complete with USDM front end AND acura badges :)

Well, considering the ITR might be worth more then the S2000...

I would avoid owning an ITR because I don't want to become a nerdy Honda collector.

FWD Acura /= VIP style. Looks nice though.
I've always thought the same thing.

McLaren
It does it better than nearly anything else next to Lexus.
And Nissan. Everything else is just the random oddball VIP car. Although I have seen some really nice VIP'ed out TLs, I don't particularly like that one.

Oh, and here's a Sonata doing it better.

To be fair, the owner wasn't shooting for the stretched tires or offset VIP cars normally run.

The best 2 VIP-styled TLs however, belong to Grape Jelly &
