This is just so much win

Although I'd say that the 2.5 16 Evo was a full 2 notches above the street 325is. The 2.5 16 was aimed at the standard M3, and MB released the Evo after BMW put out theirs.

Kinda funny, because I knew somebody was going to say something about it not be an E30 M3 when I called that little BMW "the competition".

Yes, I know more rightly the E30 M3 was the MB 190E EVO II's competition when it came to touring car racing in the early 90's. Still, I liked the look of that E30 (325i) and wanted to share it.

They're not center locking wheels, it's just a center cap that gives the effect of it.

This I did not know. Kinda disappointing actually. When E30 owners really do swap to center-locking spindles, it looks like 'effin sex. Point in case, this BMW owner who really did swap Group-A spindles on his road going version E30 M3. One of my personal favorites too.

And apparently they've been re-drilled to fit the 4-lug hubs because he couldn't spring for a conversion? Or is that pattern factory on those Impuls?

Impul Silhouette's, like many older Japanese wheels, were offered in a 4/5-bolt multi-pattern. It was an attempt to offer a wheel to multiple markets, without having to manufacture more than one wheel face.

Work, SSR, Volk, and Crimson (Sprint Hart, Racing Hart), have all produced 4/5-bolt multi-pattern wheels. The Work Leadsled is still offered in the 4/5-bolt multi-pattern.

They look remarkably much like those used on the Alitalia-liveried Stratos rally versions back in the day, that's for sure.

I think the originals are Campagnolo wheels of some sort - I seem to remember that was the original company that supplied the wheels for the Stratos at any rate.

Yeah, power doesn't matter so much in autox, but Yari are so ridiculously underpowered that it would be slow. First mod: power. The thing can't even outrun it's stock donut tires.

After looking into them the wheelbase is actually longer than that of my AW11. I never really think about how small that car really is. Crazy.

Doesn't matter with a good driver. We've had someone come out with a Fit, put on some Kumho XS, and destroy times do to PAX classing on H-stock cars. Just very smooth driving pays off quite well in that regard.
