It's so great when form and function come out as good as this.

EDIT: Also, for Keef. You know you want one in your life.

Why?

:odd:

It's not like an old Eclipse is some kind of rare exotic. There's probably thousands of these things making anywhere over 500whp.

Because it's good to be cautious? I could had as well provided you guys with pics of old R32 GT-R instead of my Lolvo if there hadn't been a request of a GTP note in a pic..

It's a Talon. A Talon that has been featured in DSport magazine, and Turbo magazine. But anyway,it's getting harder and harder to find a clean 1G DSM that has'nt been beaten to death by an adolescent with a heavy foot and the complete disregaurd for the sensative drivetrains and transaxles found in these great little cars.
The car was built in accordance with class rules and regulations in NHRA Sport RWD class. No liquid intercooler because they are not legal in Sprt RWD.If they do make them legal, they would count as a power adder. I would have to add weight or ditch my nitrous. Na na na. Not gonna' happen. The car is setup exactly how I want it. The car was originaly built by Sean Ivey of Iveytune. I bought the car as a rolling chassis. No motor,no trans. I built everything aside from the chassis/body and 10pt. roll cage
It took over $60,000 and 3 years to build this car. There are more of them around now than there was when I started building it. But at one time this car was in the top ten fastest DSM's in the world. (www.dsmtimes.org)
And theres a huge difference between a 500whp DSM and a 1,000whp DSM. There was not one thing on the car that was overlooked when building it. Heres a small list of some of the items used to build this car.

*Shep Racing dogbox/PPG Gearset (4 speed/ EVO8 input shaft/welded diff)
*Tilton carbn/carbon twin disc clutch

I'm pretty well known in most DSM forums. I've been racing imports and DSM's for over 10 years. Everyone knows that this is my car.
If anyone in here is well versed in DSM talk I will elaborate and list the rest. But this should give you a pretty good idea of the power this car generates.

I was hoping they would stick a 1G DSM in GT5 but I guess not.

I'll post some shots with me in it and working on it. It's winter here in NY and the car is on my trailer locked up in my shop. I guess I could go take a few shots, but it is most certainly my car.

Funny how they're using the GM's DIS coil packs for their wastespark ignition instead of their own DID packs from Dodge.
There's about a 10K volt difference in the GM coils which spark hotter than the original equipment Dodge coils.
Nice.

Excellent. I'll be waiting for the shots. 👍

Wow, nice Talon Vin.

I think I'll always be a fan of the turbo 1Gs. It's one of the most affordable AWD platforms out there with huge aftermarket potential... win-win.

Here's an interesting build I stumbled across on Pistonheads...

2WD Ford Sierra Cosworth... with a slightly bigger snail than standard...

Makes over 800bhp, but has nitrous giving another 200bhp... RR chart (no nitrous)...

The c.400bhp jump between 5,350rpm and 6,250rpm must make it a little tricky on corner exits

And a video of it topping 200mph with a slightly lower state of tune (warning, some bad language!)...

Local shop.

There's about a dozen or so more of these GT-Rs running around that have passed through those doors.

I'm amazed to see the Civic appears to be complete still, after all those years. And, given it still runs, it's probably still faster than all of the GT-R's on the 1320...

It makes its way onto the showroom floor every so often. Other than that, I think Kenny has remained with his tC.

Very nice guy, though. Had 2 of their customers' cars on display in a local mall not too long ago.

Do you have any info on the white Prelude? Seems to be a base SR from the hubs...someones project or just getting an oil change?
Unfortunately, I do not. It's just 1 of those few cars that come through every so often with no background on it.
Yeah....but total respect for someone that builds a FWD car that runs 9's.
I think Kenny's has actually achieved mid-8's.

It's a shame most new cars are in a way, not a tuner style of any kind, such as the RX7 Concept...

I'm 13, I want to be able to witness some tuner cars in a few years, before they die out.
