Things are what they are. Don't blame it on me. I simply state the fact. I have experience in this topic, as I have stated. From the typical highschool ricers who grow up to have a better job and just continue doing the same thing at a greater scale...to being part of a NASCAR Late Model team where people go with "what the other guys are doing" and "rules of thumb" and where experience/beliefs/misconceptions>common engineering knowledge/common sense.
Nothing you said is fact. All you've previously done in this thread is go, "I don't like those types [insert auto subject here]. They're narrow-minded, blah blah blah".

I'm not going to argue with you any further on this. You & PB merely talk down upon anything you don't like, when what you both prefer to do is no better. Get off your high horse.

Saying any more then this would just be going in circles. Which I really don't like doing.

I want proof that an entire swap can be done correctly, not half-assed, for under $10k.

Clearly you're implying that only FM can do it correctly.

:lol::lol::lol:

No, sir, that is not what I said. I am asking for you to show me that an LSx swap can be done, correctly and by anyone, for less than $10k. Do it.

Yeah you're definitely right about this one. It seems like they typically go for around 15k+

Keith (the guy who built and entered the one martini-colored Miata in the Targa Newfoundland) -
"It typically costs about $12,000 to build one of these, depending on how good you are at junkyarding. But consider that the low end.

What can you get for $18k that handles like a Miata, accelerates like an early Z06 that's lost 600 lbs and has a warranty?"

Let me fix it while you're up their on your pedestal.

Things are what they are. Don't blame it on me. I simply state my opinion.

To believe it is anything more is the narrow-mindedness you critique others for.

Well, like some others in this forum, you are selective of what you choose to allow to stick in your head for further analysis after reading. So, because you decided to know so much about me due to me stating a fact backed up by personally meeting and having experience with many of these people and situations, I'll just have to leave it at that.

👍

BTW, Keith is putting an LSx into the Targa Miata and running for overall victory in the Targa Newfoundland this year.

You are free to believe they are narrow minded fools building unimpressive vehicles whilst others will believe otherwise. The only fact in the situation is that your opinion isn't anymore important than theirs b/c you don't like the idea. You have formed your opinion from the people you've met, & they will form theirs from the people they met.

👍

Targa Miata

I will definitely be wishing them the best.

Yeah it's funny that these "fools," as you called them, never bother to educate themselves about the rest of the world in whatever topic (because if they did they could not help but change) then get pissed off when someone comes along and is nice enough to break their secure happy bubble. It's like they never broke out of that early phase to realize "jeez, those were the days. I'm glad I moved on."

Call it opinions or whatever else you want. I'll call it you not being able to prove me wrong.

I can agree to disagree.

EDIT: Oh, lets not let this be a whole page without anything good. Nothing a quick google search can't fix.

You can call it whatever you want. It won't matter what I or anyone else says because your own close minded opinion has already been formed from your own "experiences".

Good day. 👍

I have provided reason. You simply have provided denial. But I'll just leave you in your world.

I haven't denied anything. I'm simply pointing out you didn't state any facts, just your own opinion on the people in question. But you can remain in your own little world believing it's something more. ;)

I canz make unfunny witty sayings, too.

Starlet my ass! That rear 3/4 window is totally first-gen Civic.

EDIT: We're both wrong. It's a ~1973 Corolla COUPE.

Cowl vents, square windshield, curved 3/4 window. Definitely this Corolla Coupe.

I'm not going to try and continue the "discussion" between you and Speed Junkie, but I'm very curious as to what you meant by that statement in bold.

Just wondering, since you felt the need to drag me into it.

More of the R32 man. Thing sits nasty. Damn, I wish they sold those here. I'd be buying three.

That Corolla would be FR then?

If so, Just epic!!

I would love to have a little stripped out FR car (Corolla, MKI Escort) with a high revving NA engine in it and big fat tyres

That's what the Europeans and Japanese do all day long. America totally missed out on that racing scene.

Not a lot of pictures of it out there. I've seen better ones, but I can't seem to find them.

EDIT: Now that I look at it, I'm not even sure it's the same one, the spoiler is missing and the side skirts are different, but these pics are kind of old, whereas the first one I posted is new.
