Probably a stupid question - anyone got a name for those wheels other than stockie/steelies?

That particular style is actually epic. Name? Brand?
They're five lug and they aren't Diamond Racing. They're probably spare wheels off a newer, bigger car like a new 3- or 5-series. They look like 17s so that's probably the case.

Wow...he really couldn't have mounted it any lower?
In the blog post it says there is plenty of room between the sump and crossmember. So yes, it could have gone lower. But this way it's safer for the car to be hammered.

It's just a prototype setup. Will be refined.

Put some paint on the Civic and it would be awesome.

And I'm having a really hard time not wanting to buy an R53 right now...

Was this quoted from his blog? Either way hindering a car's performance to cope with a lack of skill is an amusing prospect. (And no, it is not the same as a cage)

That doesn't have anything to do with it. He wants the car slammed without crashing his oilpan into everything. Mounting the engine higher solves that problem. Now he can scrape subframe all day without worrying about his oilpan.

I wouldn't call it a replica. It's not a replica of anything. Spoon race cars look differently.

The other Civic isn't necessarily questionable. It's VIP styled

Generally VIP style requires paint and fit and finish. Its VIP meets Ricer meets VW ratrod, but fails on all charges.

We're not talking about their race cars, we're talking about their street cars.

Spoon EG6 yo. Toss that avatar out the window if you don't know a replica when you see one.

Oh yeahh. I forgot cars couldn't be taken pictures of their progress

I know this, but I just hate the word replica. He just built a catalog Spoon car
