The whole post is awsome, but the car above caught my eye... do you know anything more about it?

The reason I ask is it has the front wing extensions from the 997 gen 2 GT3RS, yet the colour is non standard, it has a front cage, non standard wheels and even though it's cornering and the right side is compressed, it looks a lot lower than a standard GT3RS.

I think it is a gen 2 GT3RS, maybe the owner modified it to his liking?
Or it could be a GT3 cup, but I highly doubt that...

I know nothing more about it but to me it looks like a modded GT3RS since it has the GT3RS wing but does not look like it has the fully stripped out interior from the GT3 cup. The wheels are probably not standard though. As for the color, you can probably directly order than from Porsche if they approve it, probably just like BMW individual

More than likely just a highly modified GT3 RS Mk. II. The color almost does look like Aqua Blue Metallic, with the decals removed.

I don't think that's aqua blue either... looks a little dark.

I know Porsche will build your 911 in any colour you want for a 'small' fee, just wondered if there was anymore info on the car. No worries if not 👍

The photo looks like it's been slightly edited & in the right light, Aqua Blue can look quite dark.

Not saying it is for sure, but I'm sticking with my gut that it's a GT3 RS Mk. II at its core.

Having done some trawling around I now think it is a Aqua Blue GT3RS.2 without the graphics... here's a pic of a Turbo in Aqua Blue... looks like the lighting in the GT3 pic just makes it look a bit darker.

Loving that picture of the F40. I would be terrified trying to get out of my spot if I was parked on either side of it though. Had something similar happen to be between a brand new 911 GTS RS and a FedEx truck.

I'm sure the Maserati owner took that into consideration with his own car as well. :P

Unless he has some super sweet expensive turbo kit, I wouldn't pay over 5 for it. To be honest. Cheap wheels, a couple more cheap looking parts, and probably not an M Edition? Definitely not worth it. When you said 10k I thought it had a V8

All maintenance has been kept up to date. Within the last 2 years, the heater core was replaced along with pulleys, belts, spark plugs, etc. Synthetic oil replaced every 5,000 miles.

Buying a used, beat on car is almost never worth it, you can't be absolute sure that he've done the mods correctly, records, word that he've kept up with maintenance can be bluffs.

I trust this guy, he's been in the Miata community for a while. And I can almost bet that car hasn't been "beat" on. As far as the price, that car in stock condition with it's current mileage is probably worth around $4-5k by itself. Add in all the extras including the built motor, FMII turbo kit ($5k+ by itself), RS Aizawa body panels (Rare), etc. It's worth it to me.

I'm just waiting for money to show up in the next couple weeks, and if the car is still available I'm having it shipped to FM for a checkup, then I'm going to register it in Colorado and drive it home.
