Saw this 964 in a Porsche magazine a few months ago.

It was originally a Celebration model (a widebodied, NA, 4wd limited edition, built right at the end of the 964 life cycle), but it's been converted to 2wd, given a heap of 964RS parts and re-sprayed in Viper green.

IMO, the 964 is the nicest 911 shape of all, and this one is probably the best looking version I've ever seen... just stunning. But the price refects the work and time that's gone in to it... £59k, which is a bit scarey for such a limited appeal car.

Yeah I know.. perfect setup for 1-2 pulls on a dyno with tons of cool down or a freeway pull in 4th gear..

give that car to me at willowsprings in august and i will bring back you the engine pieces :D

Yes, it is a fact that the BP engines take well to boost but most of the people that run the setups are not the people you see doing track days on hot summer days. Really the only problem would be cooling which NONE of the popular turbo kits account for. And no, sandwiching an intercooler in front of the radiator is not a smart solution if you expect to get any extensive sessions out of the car. Also, most people are simply ignorant of whats required to account for this.

Cooling is MAJOR deal.

Using %75 of full potential is smart. Highly recommended for those who like to push their cars to the limits 👍

back to pictures :)

here is one of my favorites from 2010. Buttonwillow, CA. Car is a 02 WRX.

Depends on where you live. In Colorado we never had issues, here in AZ I'm sure I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Thank god in Canada we don't have problems with RHD's, other than getting insurance on 'em

Out of curiosity, how does insuring JDM imports like the skyline/evo work here in Canada?

Any loopholes/hurdles to have to get though?

More shots of the 964...

Some nice cars in the background... especially the yellow mk1 996 GT3.

Sorry, you guys dont think beyond the 1st possibility, draw the conclusion too quick. Consider how light that hood is, then maybe you can see why they used a prop.

Well if I was a rich bastard and bought one, I'd put some on it.

being a rich bastard doesnt buy you one :) Sorry I gave you too many "No's" lately, but it is what it is 👍

they will sell the LFAs to selected people, they do background check like Ferrari does. And also, you cannot sell the car to another party, Toyota has the right to buy the car back from you if you decide to sell it. At least better than the original "lease only" deal. And way better than the FXX deal where you can only drive your car on the track..

I know it sounds anal, but this is their baby that they spent millions & 10 years in development.

I know people hate this, but it's terrific marketing as it keeps 3rd party dealers from snatching up the cars & re-selling them at much higher costs. See the Reventon to get an idea of this, if you wish. :)

Agreed, very smart..

I saw a yellow one driving around last week, it looks crazy !!!

I fell in love when it was pulling out of the garage in the official video...

there is only a few cars to compare it to..GTR is not one of them imo.
