My brother was hit in the back by a pathfinder, which pushed him forward into a van. The front only needed a new bumper and right fender, and the rear we though was the worst with a possible bent frame, and pretty much everything in rear needing replaced. I wasn't present for the accident, so I don't know the extent of the damage.

Having completely disassembled more than 20 Miata's by hand, I know what to look for. So obviously I would want to look the car over before hand and drive it.

No, it is fully down syndrome having helmet wearing mouth drooling short bus riding retarded.

No offense. A car like that should be used not molested like that.

Yeah, man, it's only about going fast....:dunce:

It's ALMOST all about going fast. Even drifting requires the maneuvering of a car at relatively high speeds.
The point is that Impreza doesn't quite know what it wants. Because it certainly isn't doing the "slow" very good either.

When I had my first miata I was rear ended by a Durango at around 35 mph. My car then rear ended some other car in front of me. Here are the results...
(Pardon the 17s, came on the car when I got it)

The whole car was squished. Diff mount was shattered, trans. tunnel had bends etc...

I would never buy I can that has previously been in an accident where the frame has been damaged.

And with the insurance money I got the car I have now :D

His car wasn't nearly as bad as yours though. If the guy had access to the right tools, it could be fixed correctly. Only way to find out is to look it over, which I haven't done yet.

It's sketchy. Cesar's frame was buckled - you have to remember that there is only a flimsy floorpan holding both ends together. Unless that guy did the most precise frame pulling job ever and measured ever suspension mounting hole to make sure it was factory spec, I would avoid that car or any frame-damaged Miata like the plague.

If the impact didn't go all the way to the floorpan then have at it. Cosmetics are cosmetics.

Well I'm having trouble coming up with the money in the first place, so it's probably not going to happen anyway. Like I said, I know what to look for having seen tons of damaged naked Miata's, so I know where most of the weak spots are and what to look for.

That silver Miata with the lip looks like the same Miata that was fs in my hometown a while back. It's turbo'd and I really wanted to buy it at the time.

You of all people should know I was being sarcastic.

Red S14, S13 and black FC, yes. I wish I was still able to ban you for everything else. Especially the EK.

What is it with putting a collage of stickers on bumpers and panels? It looks awful ...

If your fender is dented and ugly it's a good way to make it interesting again. Stickers are also a good way to keep paint from peeling.

Ha! OK, I thought it might be something like that. Thanks for the info.

I got that you were being sarcastic about agreeing with TAs statement on "it should all be about going fast." Then I said that it IS almost all about going fast, cleverly using "almost" as we all know there are always a few exceptions. Or am I totally off?

Functional, not functional? I don't care. Cool. As. Hell.
<S15 and M3>

I like the S15 besides the eyelids (they really look good on nothing) and I think it needs some sort of wing/spoiler. The BMW isn't bad either. It looks like a race car to me...

One Lexus with front license plate and the other without.. I knew in some states it's legal to drive without, but what if you drive into a different state?
