Post your favorite car. A single car, which is above all your favorite.

Fitment aside, that car has the grungy carbon fiber hood of a hoodrat, the carbon fiber gas door of trailer trash (with burnt edges of course), the Recaros from a stock Evo, the Takata harnesses of a small Asian man, the Mugen, Jun, and rain visors of a Honda fanboi, and the body kit and wheels off a VIP car.

What a ridiculous combination of trends. That car is horrible. Get it out of this thread please.

While many of these 4-cylinder cars look decent in VIP-ish form, honestly, the notion of a 4-cylinder VIP car is absolutely ridiculous. Nobody with a $1000 suit, chains around their neck, and a gun on their side would ever step out of an economy car. Anything less than a proper luxury car is laughable in that respect, no matter how awesome ridiculous it looks.
Your views on what does & doesn't make a VIP car are no longer valid.

For goodness sake, you asked a member to mod his GT500 to VIP-style. That has fail written all over it.

BTW, how silly do you feel right now?

Anyways, that car is way too nice to be an autocross dog. It already has the body kit to make it low, so all it needs is some flush polished wheels and it would be instant VIP hardness. Would need lowered a bit more though. So sick.
Better go read up on what kind of engine the Solstice/Sky has before spouting off about 4-cylinders not being VIP cars. Give you a hint; it's inline & has more than 3, but less than 5 cylinders.

Those Datsuns reminded me of a 260Z around QLD that does track days at Lakeside and QR, it has a 4.0L Falcon motor and apparently it's very quick. It's almost a shame we have to keep the Barra 6 to ourselves in Australia, it's one HELL of a formidable power house as much as it pains me to say it.

Don't have one. There are some styles I prefer and many cars I like, but no single favorite. Above all, I prefer track cars and VIP cars.

I don't feel silly. I never said the Sky was a VIP car - I said it would look good styled that way. Like the Integra, or an (not that) Accord.

Looks nasty VIP, but isn't.

Looks awfull, it is.. Thought that car was used to be comfortable.. Much camber on the back, little in the front, sort off track setup? This car it's form is not it's function, and so I don't like it.

It's stupid.. Why stance it like that? Is does not have any function.
It's making the car flashy and fancy. Note the oft-modified interiors with luxury items like champagne holders and folding tables and custom upholstery. This tuning style was originally associated with the Yakuza, the Japanese mafia because European luxury were rare in Japan and they caught too much attention, so they started modifying more common Japanese cars. If there's any group of people out there who are "baller", it's the mafia. I wouldn't argue with them, that's for sure.

Luckily for us, most of the people who do it now aren't rolling around with guns under their coats. At least not with bad intentions.

Ahh, now I understand. 👍 Still don't like it, I'm sorry.. It's not my style of modifying a car.. If I were a mafia guy, I would rock a hot hatch or something like that, wich the Italian's did a few years ago here. Some of them had Clio V6's!! The Turks are in the lead now, they all drive VW's.. MK5 R32, MK6 GTI's/R's here. I live in coke city, so I see it all happening haha. Standard BMW's or Mercs are common too but 75% of 'mafia car's' are hot hatches..

They probably do that to keep under the radar to most people. Here in the States there are Mafia operating in a bunch of cities, especially the New York area. Kinda hard to believe, but they still do things and hardly anybody ever knows about it until they show up in court.

It's the same here.. But guns are illegal, murder rates are low if you look at the States, but with the Turks in the lead things are getting more nasty.

If I were gangsta I'd rock this!

So, the Accord can't be VIP partially because it's a 4-cylinder, but the Sky can "look VIP" despite also being a 4-cylinder?

Sorry, all I'm seeing is a double standard, which isn't surprising b/c that Accord posted on the last page looks like it's going for a VIP-look as well without actually trying to be VIP. You know, what you think the Sky can pull off.

But, as said before, your taste in VIP styled cars is really bizarre. First a Shelby, then a Sky. Um, yeah, I don't think you quite know what VIP-style is b/c it usually doesn't include anything 2-doors to begin with.

As do I. Wonder how difficult it would be to get one imported, esp. after the recent Skyline-issues.

I guess the laws in the US are pretty strict as far as importing cars goes. I could get one for less than 10'000€, in a decent condition and with most of the paperwork done. Not exactly cheap, but not that bad either, considering what else I could buy for that price...

Posting people's private info on the internet is not really my thing.

PM system works.

Indeed it does, but I don't see what the heck is so private about posting links to results from "Local SCCA SOLO events and Porscha Club events"... He said it's already been posted somewhere in this very thread, so what could it hurt?

That's a rough bumper on the blue car. And what's going on around the roof on the white one? Is that a cage rising up above the roof?
