Could stand to be lowered tad, but I love when a car has some meat on its bones.

Your 1st post on this page is epic as usual Speedjunkie 👍

I don't care where you post them either ;)

We've posted this before. He doesn't care what we suggest.
Most of the stuff posted could go in either thread, and an "imports" thread on an American forum means most of those cars fit that description without the opinionated requirements of the "sexy and mean" thread.

Tell that to the GT5 forum.

without the opinionated requirements of the "sexy and mean" thread.
I think everyone is pretty much agreed on what is sexy and mean. This thread was generally for more modified, everyday cars before the race cars came in.

Besides, IIRC, you went "Wut?" right after someone posted a Veyron.

I get tired of looking at Volkswagens and S2000s occasionally, so I enjoy the random muddy rally or touring car. I much prefer classic race cars that actually have something in common with their street brethren to today's race cars that have a completely proprietary chassis with some fake carbon fiber bodywork molded over it.

Not all the time, just enough to break up the trendiness.

I guess I can agree to that.

I guess this was in the other thread? I don't remember doing that, but it sounds like something I would say in response to a Veyron being mean or sexy.

It was actually in this thread. I'm not holding it against you, just pointing out what seems to be a change in your view.

Well I think a stock Veyron would definitely be more suited to the other thread, despite me not really feeling that it's either mean nor sexy, but the majority of the post in question contains modified cars, to whatever the extent may be. This isn't to say that this is necessarily the best place for them, but I don't think it's worth their own "race car pictures thread".

Honestly, I think there should simply be one "Dope status" thread like they have on other forums with just pictures of cool stuff like that, instead of individual Hot Rods/Imports/Sexy cars threads. I'm sure anyone here could appreciate an old muscle car all redone with disc brakes and other "road course capability improvement" bits.

Castle Combe, back in the day!

My local circuit when I'm back in the UK. I live just the other side of Chippenham. I remember this shunt but didn't make it to the track that day. It took quite a hit!

I would love to have one of those Proteges for a daily. I'd prefer the 5, or Mazdaspeed of course.

I'm actually looking at buying a P5 when I get back from Silverstone. Hard to find one with a 5-speed around here for some reason...

P5s are lovely. Mazdaspeeds are rarer than hen's teeth.

What's nice is that everything Mazdaspeed should bolt right onto the P5, including the ECU, the trick LSD and beefier driveshafts. (and a lot of people do the parts swaps!) Only hard fit is the exhaust.
