Those tires look like spares or something. If you want stretch, at least get some wheels that you can stretch tires on and still have a decent amount of tread on the ground.

EDIT: Just noticed the "Daily" plate. It's a lowered TL.

This is the type of car you should have if you want your "daily" plate to hold some meaning.

Oh, of course. I'm more interested in his wheel specs & if I can run some more rubber in the back on them. His wheels are little too skinny for my taste, as well.

This is Chicago doing old school jdm style as good as Japan does usdm. Kind of. It's sort of a mix of a few things going on, but it looks awesome.

I don't think I've ever seen a good looking TL or TSX

I have, and that silver one on top is not one of them. The wheel fitment is a perfect example of getting it so close yet nowhere near right.

Norway getting it oh-so right!

And this thing is fantastic! I am expecting some sort of 2.0 NA engine in there.

EDIT:

Simply perfect. Wouldn't have it any other way.

^Isn't that less than the power of a stock NA supra?
2JZ-GE made 215 crank horsepower in the IS300. That Supra is apparently making 205 wheel, which would be around 240 crank horsepower with a 15% drivetrain loss. Still pathetic for a 3.0, but even the GE version wasn't really designed to be naturally aspirated.

You have plenty of spending money. You just need fewer bills.

I can understand the appeal of having three vehicles, but bro. Seriously. You live in Texas. Toss the Civic and get an F150.

The Civic's been gone since Jan. & I'll never own a pick up lest it was something like a Raptor.

FTFY.

He got exactly what he wanted out of it. There is no set definition of what's right with these things.

I know there's no set definition on what's best, as everyone has their own opinion on what looks good, but the scale pretty much goes:

Grip fitment - Don't really know a better name, but basically meaty tires that are close to fenders. Lots of Japanese time attack cars run this kind of fitment. Kind of it's own thing.

Mexiflush - Tire, tread, and rim sticking out past fender. Doesn't fit.
Poked Fitment - Tire and rim sticking out past fender, but tread still under fenders.
"Hellaflush" - Rim outside of fender, tire inside of fender.
Flush - Rim barely tucks under the fender (Personal favorite. Car is flush but suspension still works and wheels can move)
Sunk - Self explanatory. Stock wheels and spare tires also go in this category.

Yes, it's got fitment. Sunk is a type of fitment, but it's generally not considered good fitment. Like it as you might, but it doesn't really go on the scale.

The front has like an inch of space to the fenders. That's why I said it needs bigger tires. It's not running big enough wheels for a stretch.

Again, yes, he may have gotten exactly what he wanted out of it and loves it to death, but Speed Junkie was talking strictly about the wheel fitment. It's close, but at the end of the day it's still sunk with needlessly stretched tires.

I don't really know what sizes TLs run, but if I had to guess, I'd say something like 18x9ish with 215/45/18 or 225/40/18s.

Then again, could be 19s. I don't really know.

EDIT: One of two front lips for the chuki 240sx that doesn't look like ass.

I loled too when I saw it. But what made me lol even more is that I read the photo as "amberlance" which was funny in its own right, then I read Carlo's post and realized it was actually CAMBERlance and loled some more.

Guess I don't think it's even funny, becaus I really hate those 'fitments'.. It's a fitment that doesn't fit..

I think that's the idea, it's a piss-take of the whole scene, or at least those that push it to ridiculous extremes. The camberlance is called for in those situations.
