And WTH is up with the intake on that? I haven't seen those until IA when every naturally aspirated S2000 seemed to have one.
Password has made big business off their Power Chamber intakes. After they copied J's whale penis and proved on the dyno that the design (J's did it first) is frankly the best intake design on the market for B-series engines, they applied the principles to intakes on the other Hondas. You already know that though lol. I've never seen dyno tests for the Power Chambers on any other applications, but I can tell you for a fact that the B-series whale penis is the best intake on the market. I used to have one. Why anybody would spend over $200 extra on the ARC intake, which is nothing more than a polished aluminum box and a bright red ass filter on top, is beyond me.

The point of the intakes in general is to control the pressure of the intake air like a diffuser on a car. Maximize volume and velocity. They even have a velocity stack that fits up inside their filter to enhance the effect further. Whether or not Password's S2000 Power Chamber (their own design) is better than J's more simple design is not known to me.

Sounds like an evolution of an OEM design with fancy packaging. If you think about it it's just a resonator/reservoir that tapers down at the end to enter the TB. OEM intakes are basically the same but less efficient. There's pieces of tube with resonators/reservoirs in the middle to "store" air that also taper down to TB size.
Many of the older VQ owners prefer the stock intake for the low-midrange torque rather than buying cold airs or short rams that sacrifice torque and throttle response in favor of top end pull.

Though all the search results for "whale penis dyno" I'm seeing are not favorable for the design, or show this

So the one taking up the entire engine bay is the Password one? Can't believe none of my S2000 friends are jumping on that wagon.

A guy I know is actually building some ARC style intakes. He was at IA as a vendor. Level 7 Motorsports. Kinda deceiving as he doesn't race anything. Had a K20 EG in some mag once, now he's got an LS1 S14 that is being totally redone because he was offered a feature in Modified, so he felt he needed to redo the whole car.

He said he wants to prototype one on my car. We'll see how the cost on my end is...

As for the Password Power Chamber on 06+ Si's, it seemed like it was a little bit of a disappointment. At least that was the initial word. You also have to switch to a lightweight battery and use a relocation kit to move the battery lower to use the Password intake. I could use more ccA than the stock battery provides as it is.

I know what you mean about the intake. But like I said, any application other than the classic whale penis design is a 100% Password product. Their B16/B18 intake is a copy of the J's Racing-engineered power chamber. That's why it works.

I'm sad that Honda seems set to switch to forced induction on their 'hot' cars. I've always loved that great, signature n/a bark of the Honda Vtec units.

Didn't even think about posting this, but here is my old Civic, did this little video a while ago:

Why wouldn't you want them
Because that's a lot of money for a wheel that (IMO) doesn't look good. I know a lot of people that feel the same way.

I don't know exactly what it is about the design, but for some reason I can easily tell it's an American made wheel. I dunno, they don't do it for me at all. Japan and Europe does it better.

In any case, awesome Subarus posted up above. For some reason the Impreza is one car I can't stand the stanced/stretched tire look on.

You act like they sell one wheel design.

I was referring to the CCW Classics. Same goes for all their designs though IMO. The LM5 is my favorite wheel by them, if I had to pick one, but they're all pretty meh to me.

Basically if I had that much money to spend on wheels, there's probably hundreds of wheels I would run first before those.

What a shame.

Lol what were you expecting? Anything purple is never at home on anything other than a girls ride.

As for the Subaru thing, I am torn between the two. I hope to own one when I get some money, (either a GC8 or a Miata) but I would never lower the car. Chances are it would be modified to suit a rally lifestyle in which it would probably get thrashed like hell, but while still looking good. I like lowered Subarus in any generation, but for me I love dirty Imprezas over almost anything.

I'm with you here. I'm from Colorado and near an area with a lot of well maintained gravel roads. I took my '92 SE-R out for some rallying one time. Not the right car for it, but had a blast anyway. :D

Forgotten how much I like these too:

Feel free to add more, I know the example above isn't perfect.

£2k in the UK for an IS200 now. Imported Altezzas a little more. If I wasn't trying to save money on fuel and road tax I'd be tempted.
