^

I think his wheel choice might be what's affecting everyone's opinion.

And in the theme of 300Z's, here's one that most of you won't like but I love.

and I know somebody will mention rubbing, according to the owner he is around 1mm away from having no rubbing issues. And that was going to be taken care of after the event all these pics came from.

It's the first time I've seen a 300ZX with an engine bay that wasn't crammed full of ********.

Risky Junkhouse Devil Douchebags whatever,

So you've met them. Sorry to hear that.

I'm sorry but those rims look way too gangsta. And that is everything that car isn't.

Those wheels look like the ones GG uses/used on his drift car. Didn't think anyone would run them on the street. I'm not surprised.

Nope, just going by what everyone who's ever met the guys say on pretty much every drift/import related forum/website. And from the replies these guys are throwing, which are often borderline childish, and quite too often douchebag-ey.

Which is pretty much the exact same thing with the other "crew" called Drift Faction. Drifting on-ramps and industrial roundabouts is the cool thing nowadays, it seems. Because what's cooler to a 16 year old kid who just got his license than a bunch of flashy cars filmed while doing highly illegal and highly dangerous stuff?

I've done my share of stupid things in the past... But I don't brag about it.

This whole stance thing just irks me like no other.

uMad.

If I get a second car part of me wants to stance the M3 a bit. Not crazy slam, but a bit.

And yeah Fred, kids are dumb. I've got some of my own stories that I just kind of hint at and only disclose more like a "this was really stupid, and I'm lucky I didn't get arrested/stabbed" warning while exampling the many poor choices I've made.

AND I WANT THAT E92. Want now.

Gimme.

E36's can pull off the meat flush/track stance look and it won't ruin your driving ability.

And here's some track stance.

I see the stance scene going with less stretch and a more track oriented look combined with more power mods in the near future... just my prediction.

So apparently people with cool looking drift cars are douchebags.

That sucks, cause that's what I'm shooting for.

You're getting butthurt about everything today, aren't you?
They're not dbags because of their cars, no one said they were. If you don't know them and you're not in the little circle, they will treat you like ****. Want to be in their circle? Too bad.
The elitism among the chicago drift in-crowd is like no other.

How old is that picture, anyway?

It's not just elitism in the Chicago drift crowd or whatever, it's the tuner scene as a whole. If a car isn't lowered just right or isn't rocking the right wheels or has the kit aero parts on it, it ends up being a "questionable" mod. It's not everyone and I have met some pretty cool guys over the years, but it seems like there's an awful lot of elitist d-bags.

Anyway....

I rather like this RS

Huh?

That was not meant in any kind of sarcastic way or anything. I just know the majority of those guys are on Zilvia, and other than the Risky Devils/Junkhouse crew and D-Faction guys up north, there's only really a few other "groups" with really nice, properly done, legit cars. And most of the other few are good friends with these guys.

I never said they were, I was just making that association.

In any case, I think people are too eager to throw around the "elitist" term. I got tired of the "everyone wins and has their own opinions and just because it's different we can't voice our opinion because someone might get sad/mad on the internet" mentality years ago when having to deal with ignorant individuals who just want to throw out the "you just think you're better than all of us" comeback when they don't have a logical argument. Usually because what's being said is true, they just don't agree with it.

For example, people here have gotten mad before because I say 85% of people at autocrosses absolutely suck at driving and have no understanding of vehicle control. Yeah, you could say I'm an elitist, or you could simply sit down and watch what people are doing and notice the blatant, amatuer mistakes that nearly everyone is doing.

I don't think of myself as a great driver and if anyone can find where I've said that, I'll eat my words, but I don't have to be Vettel to watch car after car plow around corners and take horrible lines to make that call.

Another example is the whole legit/knockoff argument, but I don't dare start that one again.

The cool story bro picture? I dunno, probably around 2 years, but in internet years that is forever ago.

Same in clubman circuit racing, at least over here. Lots of vids on youtube of our MX5 or stock hatch series and it's amazing what proportion of the field messes up on a regular basis. Most passes aren't made through skill, they're made when someone else screws up. It's often the case that the guys on the podium aren't the ones with the best prepared cars, but the ones who can do lap after lap smoothly without mistakes.

No, the s13 picture. I'm asking cause those rims were on a drift car a couple of weeks ago and it wasn't that car. Last I heard, there was only one set of those around here and they were on the drift car more or less as a joke kind of thing.

No, the elitist term is spot on when it comes to the RD/JH crew. Those are the only guys I've heard anything about or hung out with. There are a few people that are more or less lone wolf around here and they are the ones welcoming new faces to the scene and not turning them away and discouraging them.

Sorry about the butthurtedness. It just seemed like you were getting upset cause people were talking down about the style/attitude you were going for.

That car has had those wheels for probably about half a year or so.

It was just an observation. I've just noticed that most of the guys with really nice s chassis are a fairly close knit group of people, and as far as I know pretty good friends with the Junkhouse crew and them. Then I find out apparently they're all douchebags. That is all.

I haven't noticed the douchebaggery online, but I've never met them personally.

He might just have a gnarsty skid plate under there. I've a couple friends with them, and they meet the ground often enough.
