What the hell happened here? They run out of money?

Cool Imports Bro!

Yeah, I know we've had this argument before. I'm aware nothing will change this time either.

Thanks for quoting giant pictures for no reason, bro. My phones says thanks.:dunce:

Yeah, I know this has been asked before and I know nothing will change this time either.
OOps, forgot to change the color and make less visible so that I look cool.

Wow someone has changed the colour of a font on the internet, they must be so cool.... No, it's so that if someone couldn't work out the sarcasm, they know where I'm coming from. Also sorry about the pictures but on the computer it automatically resizes and on the GTP App it only loads thumbnails, I was unaware of how large they are. All better now? Shall I pick the toys up off the floor while I'm cleaning up?

I assume you're referring to the factory dash. Lots of rally cars utilize the factory dashboard. Stripped out, a dash probably weighs about 10lb.

Also, quit griping about race cars in the imports thread. Most of the people here appreciate race cars and this is one of the few remaining forums that hasn't simply went to a dope status thread like everyone else should and has. Its a paint in the ass to follow 4 different car picture threads on a single forum because "this car is an import, but this one is sexy, because imports can't be sexy, so it goes in one thread or the other".

Not in the full factory setup. They're usually replaced by alcantara or full carbon fibre, not plastic & rely on a Motec display instead of the speedometer/tachometer, esp. one that looks like it came out of the early 90's.

The previous page was off the hook! I especially liked the little EA21R - love those things modified like that!

That brownish-gray dash really suits the car.

"Boris, I want camel leather dashboard like Bavarians make."
"Yes, Petr, we install ABS taupe right away."

 Sure looks like it. As was already mentioned before, the gauge cluster is still factory. Wouldn't be surprised if it throws a check engine light.

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said on this page. Also, it's funny how you imply something that is completely wrong.
Oh no, not this again!

I assume we have some BAT readers here, but just to help those who don't follow that site: all of the quoted cars are for sale. I've added click-through links for each sale discussion.

Bring A Trailer is a fantastic resource for vintage cars. The members are tremendously knowledgeable and genuinely kind. A great community 👍

-bonus-

A similar example of speed junkie's Fulvia is also on the market. Link added:

I really like BAT, just a ton of examples of great classic cars, and from time to time I learn a thing or two about a car I didn't know much about or find a car I never knew existed. That site makes me wish I had enough money to buy some classics and restore them.

^Looks the same as the previous design.

The Rocket. One of Gordon Murray's creations...

ROcket-damper-L.jpg

Yamaha FZR bike engine "...boasts an extra 150cc – up to 1,150cc – a larger radiator, high lift cams, high strength valve springs, a ported and polished head and lower friction liners. The result is a healthy 171bhp and an eye-brow raising 86lb/ft of torque at 11,000 and 9,000rpm respectively."

Keep in mind the thing weighs 375kg.

Maybe he's talking about the livery?
Pretty much. It's supposed to be a retro-ish livery. It's a $20K+ paint job that according to the owner, takes a very, very long time to do.

It's "Mirrachrome abstract with flouresent orange center stripe separated with a satin black pinstripe".

He's designing the paintjob for this 917 as well for an event later this year.
