You're right, it is Phoenix Yellow. Don't quite know why I mixed them up.

Still, this is my favorite color. Needs no introduction, really. I still go giddy like a school girl everytime I see one of these in that color. Or anything in that color.

I think it's an older model that they bought salvaged, fixed the front and put the new face on it, etc. Stock wheels just for the test drive. Then it's getting these:

It would probably be good from a dig but that's not What I'd want it for, might as Well buy a fox body or something. I would do general fun driving in the twisties have that nice V8 sound.

Not sure what you mean by that, as the swap doesn't effect the handling.

Yes it does. Lets not argue this as I'm fully aware that you were speaking in general terms and really meant to say that the handling remains subjectively similar to before.

Either way, whether or not the swap is detrimental to its, already bland characteristics, was not my point.

Well if cruising around the twisties with the V8 sound is what you want and nothing more, than that car would be ideal but to say that you'd choose the Miata over an Elise simply because it has a V8 implies that the Elise has nothing more to offer past its conservative 1.8. That, or you simply want the car for the acceleration. Or you just have bad taste in cars.

I guess you just like to cruise twistie roads to the sound of a pushrod V8. This is fine, I guess.

Also the 240 is awesome. Just not my taste in wheels.

You can't do sweet powerslides in the lotus on demand :sly:  If I wanted a track car the Lotus would probably be the way to go (even though for that price I could probably spec up a miata to be faster). Anyway, for an occasional car and a weekend ride with not much track use I'd rather have the NC, but that's just me
