Of course it's just a project and it will perhaps change, what do you think of ? as far as i'm concerned the first is better

Umm, everything but the front of that car is nice. Why would they want to ruin the way the car looks? Its now facing the front nostril problem, that the Lancer 8 has.......

I admit, it's a little weird, but I like it. It has an Alfa Romeo look to it.

What is with Subaru and exceedingly ugly cars lately? I love the way the current Impreza looks. The 2007 on the other hand, looks absolutely hideous. I can aleady just picture Jeremy Clarkson and company on Top Gear revolting at the car's hideousness, and then making a clever and hilarious remark.

Its their new look. I don't mind it much. Getting rid of some of that boy racer look. Though the lower air dam is over the top. But as its on a WRC car... I imagine it all does something.

Look at the new Legacy. Look at the B9SC. Subaru is changing their style. I don't mind it, and prefer it to the current. However, the mid 90's Impreza is the best. Smaller and much more sporty looking.

The front end looks like an alien... The rest looks nice and streamlined. :)

I don't see any similarity between the present Legacy and that new Impreza, is there some Legacy concept I'm missing?
The styling was predicted by the B11S back in 2003, and the B9SC more recently.
I don't see why they think they need to have a brandwide distinctive front end, they've already got a pretty good family resembalance going in all their models.
Hope they change their minds about that, anyway.

BTW, what's the present Impreza called? (IE, the last one being 'bugeye')

I don't like it simply becasue it doesn't look Rally inspired. The 2002-2005 models I like, and that bugeye one (2000-2002?) was just plain...fugly. It made it look cheap. The 2007 WRX doesn't look rally inspired at all, but more of a cheap suburban import.

It has the same front styling as the Subaru B9SC Concept Car

Thank you for the link. Great looking car, I would have given it an A+ if the head lights were little more traditionally styled(it still looks alright).

What are you smoking? The B9SC concept is quite possibly the ugliest car ever. It's right up there with the Fiat Multipla.

'd rather be seen in a pink Scion xB than in a B9SC.

And on a side note, I knew better than to click on the link as I had already seen the concept's hideousness. Although you can never forget something that ugly.

The minute I saw that B11S concept in one of my car mags I knew subaru was going to die someday. it was just a matter of time. The 98 ish Imprezas where the best. I kind of like the current one, and I think the current lagacy looks better than the older ones. But gradualy that face is going to filter down through subarus entire line. Then I'll have to go EVO.

(That is untill they can it. Mitsu has plans to switch to a hatch for it's WRC efforts. that means no more Lancer EVO. But hopefully we'll get a full striength Hatchback EVO that will blow the VW R32 out of the water.)

I've never seen the Impreza as a "boy racer," same goes to the Skyline and Lancer. These are just some of Japan's best sports cars made to be driven by enthusiasts who love to have "fun to drive" as the first words to describe the car.

Maybe it's just me, but does anyone believe that the front of the Impreza looks pretty reminiscent of the Infiniti G35? Just take away that little front part with the front grill. It kind of reminds me of the Infiniti G35 up front. I've never really been fond of tall headlights. I think they've looked much better on racing prototypes than road cars. They look better on the Toyota GT-One, the Bentley EXP GT, the Cadillac Northstar LMP, but not with most road cars.

One of the first things I really talk about before anything is most likely about style, and I think this one is going to fall short of it up front. You know, it's not going to be like what could be the next Camaro, but it seems like a lot of people won't like it style wise. Maybe if I could picture it as a more aggressive-looking Peugeot 307, then this would be a better-looking car. Until then, Subaru may start losing customers.

For some reason, that front reminds me of a front of an Alfa Romeo. Don't hate it, but can't say I love it.

Its ok. 👍

It seems like they are adapting this hideous new nose configuration to their product line. Just look at this new SUV they are going to build, look familiar?

First off, I don't like this new stacked-tall headlamp configuration, it just seems odd. And then the whole center nostril thing, not doing it for me. I hope Subaru doesn't follow BMW and Bangle-up their whole product line. 👎

Now that I don't like :yuck:. If the lights were a little different maybe, but it just looks wrong to me...
